i’m so annoyed at this story.

when chappell roan first started,
i was really into her first album.
it is a fuckin’ masterpiece.

pink pony club.
coffee.
casual.
my kink is karma.
“good luck, babe” is definitely on my life soundtrack.

i respected her story too about being overlooked,
dropped,
then coming back like:

“watch this.”

i love a good underdog moment.
somewhere along the way tho,
something started being sus with her.
i couldn’t figure it out first,
but she started to feel…
off.

the interviews
the tension with reporters
the drag makeup felt more like geisha makeup
the “don’t look at me for politics” after speaking on politics
the alleged uncle who is a republican in missouri

it started to feel less underdog and more “karen”.
i started wondering why wasn’t she more humble after being poor and overlooked.
well after her ( x recent antics ),
i guess the public is starting to get sick of her.
it turns out that chappell might actually be wealthy AF…

it’s giving that same energy kid rock had.
he sold “trailer park” when his family is rich AF.
i think they owned car dealerships or something.
if this is true about chappell:

UGH.

watching that felt gross tbh.

first off,
she needs to really remember what she said in her old interviews.
second,
her shitty and pretentious attitude made her a target

is this why she always telling rich people to ( x give their money away )?
i gotta wonder if she is really gay?
or was she just using that to rope the community in?
this all seems so disingenuous now.
outside her music,
i admired the fact she struggled and was broke before she got where she needed to be.
it inspired me in my own struggle story.

i legit said to myself the other day when it came to her recent shenanigans:

“if she is so annoyed with fame,
she can quit and go work at starbucks.”

come to find out chappell could probably own the starbucks.

lowkey: i hate to font it but it seems like black folks don’t have this luxury.
