many people who voted for him try to hide and lie that they voted for him.
why is this?

T-boz is the only one doing the PREP commercials, it seemed odd at first but it all makes sense now.
Let’s just keep it real, if I had to bet money on it, my sneaking suspicion is that Chili is transphobic and probably subscribes to transphobic ideologies in addition to maybe some anti-LGBTQIA+ sentiments, and that is why she supports Trump and MAGA.
It’s a hard conversation to have because 92% of Black women and 78% of Black men voted for Kamala Harris, so what’s going on in this country as a result of this current administration is not on us. That being said, there are still a lot of anti-LGBTQIA+ attitudes in the Black community, especially homophobia (gay men) and transphobia (trans women).
Chili is in trouble because she got caught and continues to get caught in a lie. Chili wants to have it both ways; she wants to support Trump in private while still being invited to the cookout, BET awards, NAACP awards, and receive all the attention and adulation that comes with it; sorry, but it doesn’t work that way. By voting the way they did, black maga supporters actively harmed the black collective, and they don’t want to own it.
Chili is transphobic and doesn’t want to own it, just like a lot of black people don’t want to own their homophobia and transphobia when it gets hot, she doesn’t want to become the face of it; and because she has an issue with trans women now I have to have high gas prices, high grocery prices, now I have to worry about healthcare cost, or the education of my nieces and nephews; you don’t get to do that. Coming from a community that needs so much, you don’t have the luxury and privilege to be a single-issue voter.
Also, as a side note, what’s wild is that Chili has a black son with Dallas Austin. TLC is not rolling in money like that unless her son is protected by money through Dallas Austin. It’s hard to fathom that you would jeopardize your child’s future because you don’t agree with trans kids in sports or don’t want to see trans people in the bathroom.
The way Dump’s administration is dogging out Black people, it’s atrocious that any Black people would support him, but there’s always hankyheads and tokens and people who see themselves as special or unconcerned with the general welfare of other Black folks. A lot of these rich Black celebs appear to be in that third category.
