To be honest, I’ve been done with Kanye since his whole “ Slavery was a choice” commentary. People have over-hyped Kanye; in my opinion, his career was really “ The College Dropout”, “Late Registration”, “ Graduation”, and “ 808s & Heartbreak”; everything else has been trash.
Kanye is older than me, so I don’t get it. I understand how deathbed confessions are a thing, but outside of that, some things you just take with you to your grave. This whole revelation of his just seems sick and twisted
Jamari, you talk about being headed for a crash. The crash is already here. It’s sad to see that College Dropout kid with all that potential to see what he has become. People don’t want to talk about it, but the quiet part is that a lot of these men that have been held up as examples are down bad. Kanye West, Shannon Sharpe, Kevin Samuels, Andrew Tate, Diddy, Harvey Weinstein, and the list goes on.
As people, but especially as men, we need to start to have the conversation about what it means to live a life well-lived. The money, clothes, women, cars, houses, etc., really doesn’t mean much at the end of the day. How you show up in your relationships, with family, with community, how you help others, and how you try to make this world a better place, the older I get the more I feel like these are the things that matter. When I see people placing so much importance on material things it just makes me cringe.
