Everyone and their mama has been asking me if i saw Sinners.

i haven’t but i do did plan to see it.
you’ll soon see how i fucked up.
many people i know,
including Foxholers,
told me go see it in the theater NOW.

“Yes sir!”

i forgot that i had a voucher for a free ticket to see wicked last year.
i never saw wicked in the theater because it came out on digital shortly after.
so i went to AMC and booked a ticket to see sinners for this week.

“70mm,” it said.

i heard this is how you’re supposed to see this movie.
uh,
no.
this is the part i learned that i fucked up…

For people who missed out on watching “Sinners” the way director Ryan Coogler intended, they’ll get another chance as it’s “back by popular demand” at select theaters for only a week, IMAX announced.

“Welcome back to Club Juke. Starting May 15, #SinnersMovie returns to IMAX 70mm locations for one week only,” IMAX said in an X post on May 1. “Tickets on sale now!”

Coogler shot the period action horror film, starring Michael B. Jordan, with IMAX film cameras. The cameras are known for their high resolution, which helps create a unique moviegoing experience.

AMC just said “70mm” and not some “IMAX 70mm”.
i scrambled to refund my ticket and the right day and movie format but:

When I refunded my ticket,
the free voucher wasn’t refunded.

so now i’m in waiting room hell with AMC,
while all the IMAX seating is pretty much selling out.

i’m actually annoyed I can’t speak to a human with AMC rn.
i gotta go through a waiting period for someone to answer my email for help.

At this point,
I may have to accept seeing this movie in IMAX is a wash.

hopefully,
when i see it in whatever “70mm” format is,
i still get the experience.
