with this following story,
i don’t know if i should be on the side of justice or “all heros don’t wear capes”.
above is gilles artigues,
a former deputy and roman catholic in france,
who was known for speaking out against gay marriage.
his rival and french mayor,
gaël perdriau,

Perdriau got his staff to contact a male escort and set up a camera in a hotel room. They were then able to lure Artigues into the room to perform sex acts with the escort, which they got on video. “The order was to trap Gilles Artigues over his repressed homosexuality,” former staff member Kéfi-Jérôme, 45, told the court.

In court, Perdriau claimed he made comments to Artigues about the sex tape, but he maintained he never used it to threaten him. Artigues, though, had the receipts and submitted a video to courts where Perdriau explicitly told him he had a “USB stick” full of compromising images and threatening to release them.
