10 Years Found Later

Amanda-Berry-Gina-DeJesus-found-in-Cleveland-after-missing-10-yearsthis goes to show:
never lose hope.
amanda berry and gina dejesus have been missing for 10 years.
no one knew where they went.
you know they were in some crazy muthafucka’s basement?!?!!?…

1263_1367882720Cleveland police said missing teens Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and a third woman were found in a west side house on Monday.

“This isn’t the ending we usually get,” said MetroHealth Medical Center Dr. Gerald Maloney.

Hundreds of people gathered in the streets near 2207 Seymour Ave. in Cleveland, where the women were discovered. Cleveland police said Berry, DeJesus and Michelle Knight are alive, talking and appear to be OK.

“I heard screaming… And I see this girl going nuts trying to get outside,” said Charles Ramsey, a neighbor who found the women. “I go on the porch and she said ‘Help me get out. I’ve been here a long time.’ I figure it was domestic violence dispute.”

“She comes out with a little girl and says ‘Call 911, my name is Amanda Berry’… When she told me, it didn’t register.” He said he made the call and gave Berry the phone. When police arrived, officers asked him if he knew who he rescued.

Angel Cordero, who spoke Spanish, told NewsChannel5’s Stephanie Ramirez that he helped break down the door. He said there was a child who was about 4 or 5 years old with Berry, as well as other children inside the house. He said he recognized Berry from posters.

Cleveland police said three suspects are in custody.

Berry was last seen in 2003 when she was called her sister to say she was getting a ride home from work at the Burger King on West 110th Street and Lorain Avenue. She was set to turn 17 the day after her disappearance. Her mother died of heart failure in 2006.

On April 2, 2004, 14-year-old DeJesus went missing while walking home from Wilbur Wright Middle School. She was last seen around West 105 Street and Lorain Avenue. Her mother, Nancy Ruiz, said she believed DeJesus was sold into human trafficking.

“I always said it from the beginning; she was sold to the highest bidder,” Ruiz said in April 2012.

The remaining families of both women went to MetroHealth Medical Center, where they will be reunited. FBI agents were also at the hospital Monday night as family and friends flocked to see the women.

“I am thankful that Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight have been found alive. We have many unanswered questions regarding this case and the investigation will be ongoing. Again, I am thankful that these three young ladies are found and alive,” Mayor Frank Jackson said.

Last summer, there was a break in Berry case that turned out to be an inmate’s hoax. Robert Wolford, 26, told authorities that Berry’s body was in a vacant lot in Cleveland. Police searched at West 30th Street and Wade Avenue in July with backhoes, but nothing was found. Wolford was sentenced to four and half years in prison after pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice, making a false report and making a false alarm.

FOUND @ NEWSNET5

that is such a heartbreaking story.
the saddest part is amanda’s mother passed away in 2006 of a broken heart.
she was looking frantically for her daughter.
even went to one of those fake tv psychics for a lead.
here is the video of charles ramsey who found them
(the news is not giving him his props at all):

the things those poor girls must have went through for ten years.
life has changed so much since they have been missing.
i hope they get all the help they need.

  1. Idk, it just seems a little out of left field to me. It’s just hard for mento imagine that for 10 yrs u can keep someone locked in a apt. But you never know. I wanna know if she delivered the baby in a hospital? If so that could’ve been a good plot to leave. I wanna know did she know him or did he just abduct her. I’m waiting for the details to surface before I make her a hero. Does that make me fucked up?

    1. ^no I makes you a person who uses logic. I agree I don’t trust any of this, it seems too fishy. In the span of 10 years you can’t find a way to escape.

This tells me she either A said fuck it free room and board just give the nigga what he wants from time to time or B she’s too stupid and/or lazy to find her way out.

  2. It’s great news that they found her and the others! I know her mother is smiling right now. People like the kidnapper are very mentally ill….

  3. Not every missing person is killed either. Many are sold in sex trafficking rings or become sex slaves.

  4. I have been following this story all morning. Your neighbors could have someone chained up and you would never know. The disturbing part is that sick MF wrote an article about missing women couple years back.

    1. I have a guy on my street who has never had a visitor and noone on our street has ever been inside his house .He has lived there 6 years. He waves and says Hello or Good Morning when he mows lawn.

      1. ^i don’t talk to any of my neighbors on my block.
does that make me a psycho?
i don’t have love for these hoes.
they also nosy as hell and trying to get my drawz for their trophy cases.

  5. article on the third victim:

For a decade, the community has followed every development in the missing person cases of Gina DeJesus and Amanda Berry — from their families’ pleas for their safe return to the tips that led police to excavate a West side house in a futile search for DeJesus’ body.

But the public knows little of Michelle Knight, the third woman discovered alive Monday night in a Seymour Avenue home on Cleveland’s West Side.

Knight, 30, who was 18 at the time of her disappearance on Aug. 23, 2002, was last seen at a cousin’s house near West 106th Street and Lorain Avenue.

Knight’s grandmother, Deborah Knight said in an interview Monday that, based on the recommendation of police and social workers, family members had concluded that Michelle likely left on her own because she was angry that her son was removed from her custody.

But Michelle Knight’s mother, Barbara Knight, said she and Michelle were close, and she never believed that her daughter would disappear without a trace, without so much as an occasional phone call.

Barbara Knight, who now lives in Florida, said long after police stopped searching, she papered Cleveland’s West Side with fliers. And even after moving out of state, would often return to continue the search on her own.

Knight said she believes she once saw her daughter walking with an older man at a shopping plaza on West 117th Street several years ago. When the woman trailed behind her companion, he would grab her by the arm and pull her along, Knight said. She said that she yelled Michelle’s name, but the woman did not turn around.

By Monday night, neither Deborah nor Barbara Knight had heard from police, and both were gathering what details they could from media accounts.

Barbara Knight said she hopes that police have correctly identified her daughter, adding that she would be heartbroken to return to Cleveland only to find that Michelle was still among the missing.

“I’m praying that if it is her, she will come back with me so I can help her recover from what she has been through,” Knight said. “So much has happened in these ten years. She has a younger sister she still has not met. I missed her so much while she was gone.”

  7. this bitch told her mother that she was dead!!!

    ok

Amanda Berry’s mother traveled to New York to tell her story to Psychic Sylvia Browne on the Montel Williams Show. The show was a shot at getting her daughter’s picture before the eyes of millions of Americans. “On April 21st 2003, 16-year-old Amanda Berry left her part-time job never to be seen again,” the show began. With that, TV viewers across America now know a girl from Cleveland is missing. But Amanda Berry’s mom wanted more than her daughter’s picture on national TV. She wants answers. “Can you tell me…Is she out there?” Berry’s mother Louwana Miller asked. “I hate when they’re in the water,” Browne said. “She’s not alive honey.” It was bad news from the world-renowned psychic. It’s what Miller didn’t want to hear. “So you don’t think I’ll ever see her again,” Miller said. “Yeah in Heaven on the other side,” Browne responded. “I’m sorry.” Montel took a commercial break and Amanda’s mom broke down. Although the FBI says Sylvia Browne has never solved one of their cases, Miller has faith in psychics. “It hurts my mind but it eases it; now I know,” Miller said. “I can’t understand why, she was such a good girl. She didn’t bother anybody” Channel 3’s Bill Safos sat down with Sylvia after the show. “Are you ever wrong?” Safos asked. “Only God is right all the time but of course I’m wrong,” Browne responded. “But after 50 years of doing this work, I’d better be more right than wrong. I always say I hope I’m wrong. When it comes to this, I hope I’m wrong.” But regardless the determined psychic shared more of her thoughts about a suspect. “I think he really had a crush on her,” she said. “And I think she rebuffed him. I think she thought he was harmless enough to maybe drive her home.” Who ever did give Amanda that last ride didn’t take her home. Amanda’s mom and sister Beth hope the show will spark a good tip. “Her last words were: Good-bye mom, I love you,” Miller said. Berry’s family and friends have a scheduled a prayer vigil. It happens this Sunday the 21st. It’s 19 months to the day since she disappeared. It’s at 6 p.m. at the corner of W.110th and Lorain near where she vanished.
