celebrities speaking out does little than next to nothing.

when they do say something:

many of our favs are two seconds away from saying some dumb shit on an IG press release.

that is how i feel about p!nk right now.

did she ( x annoy me with that shit ).
i was JUST listening to her first album too.
ugh.
i’ve been one to expect a celeb to speak up to make me feel seen,
but i’ve been getting so disappointed with some of those people.
i’ve noticed that anytime some shit is going down:

everyone is expecting beyonce to say something.

the same bey that doesn’t even tell us an album is dropping.
this flew by on my x-twitter timeline and i was likeeeeeeee…

in a perfect forest,
bey would say something and everything would reset.
the animals would sing songs and the evil will be defeated.

unfortunately,
this isn’t a perfect forest and as a black vixen on top,
“they” are itching to ruin her.

many black folks included.
did we forget how when she showed support for kamala,
by simply walking on a stage and saying something in support,
she was dragged by white and black jackals alike.

sidebar: i always found that funny because all you heard was,
“kamala has celebs trying to promote her”.
it was like they were saying that the ones who were supporting our current president were nobodies.

tbh,
there are many black folks that would tell bey to mind her black business.
bey does enough of her protesting in her music videos and IG posts.
also:

our president literally came out with an AI video of turning palestine into a casino.

…so if he and his fan boys don’t give a damn,
since they currently control everything,
wtf is bey supposed to do next?
bey told us to go vote and many of these folks chose not to so...
i’m confused here.
our current president is the one who is supposed to do something and cleary,
he is alright with the shenanigans.
also:

i don’t see taylor swift saying anything.

why isn’t she getting called to the front for her thoughts on this topic?
honestly,
we don’t need celebrities to say or font anything to make us feel all warm and snuggly.
these days:

WE have to be the change we are seeking.

the midterms are on the way.
i hope we aren’t expecting celebs to help us figure out what’s next.
