tory lanez out; megan thee stallion still out?

those who have ever been turned on felt empathy for megan thee stallion.
many of us foxholers know what that’s like.
when you go against “the popular one”,
it will be a whole army out to try to destroy you.
some live to tell the tale; others don’t.
even after tory lanez was sentenced to 10 years for his own behavior,
people are still not being kind to megan thee stallion…

i learned that people have a problem with supporting jackals and hyenas.
it’s always about their talent/looks/whatever than their character.
stans will lock on like a shark smelling blood because of blind rage.
it isn’t until they do something heinous,
some folks want to walk back their support.
what is wild is others will still stand ten toes down.

people liked megan until tory lanez shot her.
after that happened,
pick me and misogynistic black jackals went to destroy her.
tory was leading the charge as he wrangled up as many as possible.

Bad enough,
those with platforms were doing it live and in living color.

she was everything but a child of God.
the wild part is she never press charges against him.

He was the dumbass with a gun,
shooting folks up,
in the hills of Santa Monica.

He was the dumbass who didn’t know which state had the toughest gun laws.

this was megan thee stallion’s statement after the sentencing:

I struggle with being present. After everything that occurred I cannot bring myself back to being in the same room with Tory,” Megan wrote in the statement read by Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Kathy Ta. “I’ve been tormented and terrorized.”

“He paid bloggers to disseminate false information, he treated my trauma like a joke when I could’ve been dead,” she continued. “He blamed the system, he blamed the press, and as of late he is using his childhood trauma to justify his actions.”

She added, “Slowly but surely, I’m healing. But I’ll never be the same. His crime warrants the full weight of the law.”

“I don’t want to call myself a victim. As I reflect on the past three years, I view myself as a survivor, because I have truly survived the unimaginable,” wrote the rapper. “Not only did I survive being shot by someone I trusted and considered a close friend, but I overcame the public humiliation of having my name and reputation dragged through the mud by that individual for the world to see.”

She added of the verdict, “It was more than just vindication for me, it was a victory for every woman who has ever been shamed, dismissed, and blamed for a violent crime committed against them.”

sad.
i’m glad she got her retribution and is able to move forward.
how disgusting and manipulative ( x his statement ) was tho:

yuck.
remember his video chopping up horse legs?

i love that the judge was watching how he treated her.

so it was his own stupid ass that got him in jail.
that’s the thing about being cocky

it doesn’t age well.

lowkey: it’s interesting that black and gay folks participated in this shaming.
isn’t this what black folks protest about when white people do it?
gays should know how that goes when we are shamed,
especially by our families or the straights.
it’s so weird.

  1. I do like Megan but I’m disappointed in everyone including Megan. I’ll be honest I’m glad the Montgomery brawl drowned out the tory Lanez sentence. At some point we’re going to have to have a conversation about how we as a society have lost our way, wrong is right, right is wrong, down is up etc.

Tory Lanez is totally at fault, I have sympathy for what he will have to face in prison; but he had a gun that he wasn’t suppose to have and he aimed the gun, shot the gun and injured someone in the process, thats jail time. I’m also deliberate in saying someone instead of Megan. I in no way want to take away her agency in this situation but I’m also disappointed in this idea that the situation was only bad because Tory shot a woman and a black woman at that indirectly implying that if he had shot a dude, that somehow that would’ve been cool and they would just have to fight it out; no its all bad and guns are not toys.

I have a problem with Megan. I do appreciate and applaud her for having the wherewithal to de-escalate the situation even with a lie in the heat of the moment, but I don’t support you not standing up for yourself especially when you have the means to do so. People who support Megan are quick to point out that she didn’t pursue charges as though that is a badge of honor, no thats a backwards and warped way of thinking. If you are a victim of a crime especially a violent crime you need to get with the prosecutor and pursue charges against the person who victimized you and that goes for women and men.

I think we also have to be disappointed in the community and content creators who were gaslighting Tory as well. Everyone was trying to be part of the story for clicks and views all to make a quick dollar and their is something immoral and maybe even illegal about that. If Tory didn’t want to take responsibility, he only had one recourse and that was to sow the seeds of doubt and content creators were all to happy to provide him the platform to do that, and it didn’t work and in fact backfired and contributed to him getting more time. Tory Lanez is responsible but there should also be space to hold content creators responsible for spreading misinformation.

  2. It’s sad how she’s being treated. This is why I love this site and the readers . Intelligence!!!

Trump becoming President , Covid , Flat Earthers , etc. made me realize that we share this planet with people of questionable intelligence and low compassion for others .( sigh)

  3. It’s all the straight black hotep men and the BARBZ mostly gay boys harassing Meg. It’s annoying
