for the first time ever in my life,
i found him really fine there too.
when you got the power and platform,
you are afforded the luxury to speak/font up and protest.
this is what the legends use to do back in the day.
…but unfortunately,
many celebs in the era want to sit quietly at the table and tbh:
i think that is okay.
if “wicked” taught me anything,
it’s that speaking up can come with consequences that many aren’t strong enough to handle.
not every celeb is meant to be “the mouth piece for social issues“.
some do quiet protesting by doing the work in the shadows,
while others simply don’t care and want to stay under the radar.
kudos to all the celebs who spoke last night,
wore pins in protest…
…and continue to use stages to bring awareness to real issues.
