I don’t think I’ve ever admitted how much of a lowkey Aretha Franklin stan I am.
I love her music and it has def gotten me through hard times.

when did music stop being a movement too?
back in the day,
black artists didn’t just entertain:

They educated
They protested
They pushed culture forward.

sure,
we needed to dance and escape,
but we also needed to feel seen and to be uplifted.
artists like…

you know,
i only watched 3 harry potter movies so far.
i can’t even remember the 3rd one (hell, all of them).
i’ll need to revisit on a future date.
i know many of ya’ll read the books and watched the movies,
but almost everyone has turned on the author,
jk rowling.
it seems many within the trans community have turned on her.
i didn’t know why until i caught up about it —> ( x here ).
she has been “canceled” depending on who you ask,
but folks still showed up at her house to randomly protest as of recent.

the great divide.
i see a lot of folks are divided with the following story.
as you know,
black lives have been the target of the police.
many of them have been very unfair killings.
jonathan price,
who is seen ^above,
is another who was recently killed by the police.
he was killed by a cop when trying to intervene in a domestic disturbance.

the issue with jonathan is his past social media antics.
it seems he allegedly was:

Conflicted about black lives matter
Supported the police
Had beef with his family while highlighting the white folks who supported him
“Addicted” to white vixens.
