Bernie Sanders has blamed Kamala Harris for her election loss to Donald Trump, saying she chose to cosy up to billionaires instead of addressing the issues faced by working-class Americans.
The 83-year-old independent senator and former Democratic presidential candidate said while Joe Biden has faced plenty of criticism for the election loss, it was ultimately Harris’s fault.
“A lot of the people are saying it was Joe Biden’s fault that Kamala Harris lost the election … not true. It was the fault of Kamala Harris and her consultants,” he said in an interview on BBC Radio 4’s Today program.
“They did not run a campaign designed to speak to the American working class.”
Sanders said he “absolutely” believed Harris could have won, but she did not talk about the needs of working-class Americans.
“I ran all over the country trying to elect Kamala Harris and beg them talk to the needs of the working class, talk about raising the minimum wage to a living wage, talk about real health care reform, talk about building the kinds of massive amounts of housing that we need, putting checks on landlords,” Sanders said. “But they used their billionaire friends.”
it’s interesting he is saying this when our current president did the same thing.

i get the criticisms about the dems but the thing is:
When you are not standing with your party,
you give others the authority to do the same.

On Election day,
Americans get up and go to a voting machine.
with all the accessible information out there,
with so many other people saying “they warned others that this would happen“,
it fucking happened!
many americans still went ahead and cut their noses off to spite their faces.
many people didn’t show up when it was important for them to do so.
they had excuses about her race or whatever way the wind was blowing that day.
so i can’t get behind blaming one party:
When the other party practically did the same thing to win again.
…and is still doing the same thing after being elected.hell,
i watched his campaigns and he didn’t even do much.
so stepping down early,
having a primary,
and whatever excuses being used are completely irrelevant atp.
so all this infighting is pathetic because when it comes to that other administration:
They stand ten toes down,
regardless if the worst is happening.
personally,
i think we should get rid of 95% the democrats and start fresh.
we need younger minds to lead the charge.
many of these people,
including bernie,
need to retire.
i’ll allow a after school “3-5pm” mentorship but that’s about it.
they need millennials and gen x to play the game a different way cause they are losing bad.
Their Boomer/Obama style/corporate Democrat/”go high and not low” shit is not working anymore.

I guess I’m going to be the controversial one but I don’t disagree with what he said. Yes, it was the people who voted against her. At the end of the day, it was her and her campaign’s job to sway the American people to her side. She did not. Trump wasn’t the one with the uphill battle. She was. And once you make it passed the racist and sexist bs that people spew about her, you can find some honest criticisms of her campaign. It’s true that Biden impeded her start and took away valuable time, but there are a lot of people that felt she did not use what time she did have effectively. I wish it was different, but the way I see it that’s reality. I do agree with your point about getting rid of most of these Dems though. I feel a lot of them (and the Republicans too) are running this show into the ground and just trying to hold onto power and old institutions instead of actually trying to improve and lead the country.
Kamala Harris told of her plans when she debated the orange guy. Place the blame on the sorry SOBS that chose not to vote! Now everyone is crying because chump is gutting everything and it is affecting those who voted for dump
