Am I the only one who picked that up?

there are many reasons why we lie.
sometimes it’s to impress,
protect,
or not to be judged by others.
we have all told white lies or invented some wild stories out of pure nonsense.

If you haven’t watched HBO’s “White Lotus”,
I suggest you go to a 3 season binge because this season is fantastic.
I thought last season was good but this season tops that.

i’ve been rummaging around my head about the character of jaclyn,
who is played by michelle monaghan.
she has created quite the conversation about her story line outside of the incest one.
she told jimmy kimmel that vixens in her life have called jaclyn a “bitch”,
while the gays are all for her ruthless shenanigans.

when i got out of gay logic and back to common sense,
i had a thought (with spoilers)…

In the last episode,
instead of admitting she fucked home-wolf,
she decided to lie and gaslight.

from the other gals in the “friend group” conversations,
she has a history of doing this to her friend so that’s fucked up.
instead of just being honest and saying she rode the dude,
she decided to act like that never happened even when her spot was blown.

what i’ve learned in life is:

Just be honest with your truth when or before you get caught up.

when you say/font that you did something upfront,
it takes away the power and leverage people will have over you.
i respect people who can say/font:

“Yeah,
I did it and…?”

…rather than creating a full blown lie out of shame and fear of judgment.
if you have to do that then:

Maybe,
you know it was wrong and shouldn’t have done it anyway.

…because nothing is worse than jackals who did something they knew they shouldn’t have done,
but then having to create lies and stories to keep them in good standings with others.
