…and I JUST told someone before this happened I thought he was attractive.
Ugh.
I hate when people ruin their attractiveness with foolishness.
late one night,
while tumbling down a rabbit hole of black historical horrors,
i found myself revisiting the disturbing practice of “buck breaking”.
as you know,
or didn’t,
but it was a vile tactic used during slavery.
it was where male slaves were raped by their masters for dominance and emasculation.
fast forward to today,
comedian jackal,
andrew schultz made headlines for what he wanted to do to kendrick lamar.
after kendrick called him out in “wacced out murals” by saying:
“Don’t let no white comedian talk about no Black woman,
that’s law.”
andrew went full…
“Kendrick’s people… they will kill me, they will destroy me, they will
find me in the street and they’ll f***ing cut me up… I’m not a tough
guy. But just Kendrick, I would make love to him and there’s nothing he
could do about it.’s nothing he can do about it.”
so…
buck breaking?
was it a silly jab?
or did it echo the silent part of horrific history?
kendrick’s stans (what do we call us them? the morales?),
naturally,
went after his neck since our their king used drake’s wig for hackey sack:
Not @andrewschulz whining about Kendrick Lamar fans making threats to him. 😭Didn’t he say he would rape that man? Violent comments begets violent comments. pic.twitter.com/GHfUA8tdof

eek.
now i don’t condone doxxing or death threats.
it’s never that serious to get yourself arrested over someone you don’t know.
i do condone a humbling exposé tho.
Andrew: as you see,
The Big Steppers (?) are watching your every move now.
One slip of your penis in a hole other than your wife and Black Twitter will feast.
as for charlamagne ( x swooping in with his usual ),
which it’s almost routine at this point…
…left me wondering:
When does comedy cross the line?
And when is it just too far to laugh?
lowkey: is it wrong to tell white people we are cool with they went too far?
all the white folks i know are very aware so i don’t have this issue…
yet.
To answer your question, I do think that comedy can reach a point where it becomes too far to laugh, and if we are being honest, most comedy that approaches this point just isn’t funny.
If we look at Kendrick’s bar, “Don’t let no white comedian talk about no black women, that’s law” who is he talking to, he is talking to other black people. People like Andrew Schulz and DJ Vlad traffic in a weird social capital/social currency where they need other black people in the room at the table to co-sign and or give cover for their racially derogatory, insensitive, or outright disrespectful commentary.
A lot of black people in these spaces don’t stand on business. Instead of making the white person uncomfortable to the point where they wouldn’t even make the comment or just get up and walk away, these black people often give the green light for these white people to be as disrespectful as they want to be.
There is nothing wrong with checking your friend if the situation calls for it. Imagine if Charlamagne had checked Andrew instead of the co-sign, Andrew’s stock and viewership would have gone down; it wouldn’t be cool anymore. Hate it or love it black people add a certain coolness, credibility, and validity to these conversations; take that away and these people just look and sound foolish.
Buck breaking is a myth…rape happened of course but it wasn’t the public spectacle of dominance that people act like it was. It’s a myth born of race-baiting and homophobia and you should fact check yourself tbh
This! This is a fav talking point of hoteps hoping to convince ppl that blk gay men only exist because all the slave masters were round there raping all the male slaves up. Im taking up a collection on my cashapp for all of the descendants of all the raped up slave menz, for those who believe this phenomenon and want to donate.
