wait… so people CAN apologize?

i guess,
when i think about it,
i have learned a lot since i left new yawk.

it made me wonder:

was moving here actually a test?

earlier last week at work,
i could sense my boss wasn’t in the greatest of moods.
that might be a cancer thing where we sense emotions well,
but i believe my senses have been heightened with all i been dealing with.
he snapped at me over something trivial,
but since he owns the business,
that trivial fuck up means a lot to him.
instead of snapping back,
or explaining myself like the young fox used to do when he got in trouble:

apologized for the trivial fuck up
immediately shut the fuck up and let him talk
let him have his time to stabilize their emotions

went back to scrolling the nets when he went back to his office

on friday,
he came up to me and did something i didn’t see coming…

HE
APOLOGIZED

…for his behavior and said he was having a bad day,
had just got off a phone call that annoyed him,
and realized he took his stuff out on me.
he said he felt really bad about it and needed to apologize.

shocked THEEEEE fuck outta me so you know what i did?

i came home and told chaos magnet the story about how my boss apologized

i looked them dead in the eye as i was telling this story too,
making sure not to miss any details.
Foxhole,
they way they were looking at meeeeeeeeeee

and then gonna say:

“yeah,
ya know,
everyone has their moments,
ya know?”

that’s another thing i learned while staying here:
expect the expected.
in the past,
i might have expected them to see things differently,
but nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

lowkey: be truly shocked when someone does something different than excepted.
that’s the cheat code to pass to the next level.

If you wouldn't say it on live TV with all your family and friends watching, without getting canceled or locked up, don't say it on here. Stay on topic, no SPAM, and keep it respectful. Thanks!
