i mean,
she isn’t gonna admit guilt in her statement.
i didn’t think she would “i, i, i; me, me, me“

I am a hard worker.
I am a perfectionist.
I am hurt by this.
Who has been hurt by this? Me.
Who makes good art to justify any of this? Me.
Who has been body shamed too? Me.

…but here we are.

it is her lawyer’s job to make her look innocent.

two things within her statement stood out to me tho:

“I am not here to be looked at as a victim, but I am not the villain that people and the media have portrayed me to be these last few days.”

^that let me know she acknowledges she did wrong somewhere.

“I want to thank everyone who has reached out to lift me up during this difficult time.”

^this sentence gave me pause.
why haven’t any of her peers or friends spoken out in her defense?
are her white feminist stans showing support?
everyone can’t be lying about lizzo.
there are people not even involved who are speaking out.
beyonce is a perfectionist in her craft.

We haven’t heard anyone come out to discredit her work ethic.

like i fonted,
lizzo will be fine but she could have kept this statement in drafts.
