i’m “millennial” enough to remember hurricane katrina in 2025.
Lord have mercy,
that shit was brutal.
i’ll never forget the pic i saw of all the dead black bodies in the water.
it wasn’t like 2 or 3; it was like over 100 black bodies floating in the water.
that coverage was on CNN all day and i just remember crying all the time.
i have a friend that lived there and i was PANICKED.
she went unreachable and i thought they were in the superdome.
if you were there,
you know what was happening in the superdome.
thank GOD she and her family took no chanced and left NOLA before katrina hit.
I’ll never forget how that was handled and caused this iconic moment:
in 2025,
in a reminiscent political climate in 2005,
there has been bad floods in texas.

The problem is we don’t want to get honest as a society as to what constitutes a horrible person. These people lack any type of compassion, empathy, or sympathy for other human beings, especially for people they can otherize; they are cruel and sadistic.
These people have no problems because they never feel like they will be on the receiving end of the devesation and destruction that they cause. Christina was absolutely correct in her statement, MAGA-voters did in fact vote for this.
They want her to be held accountable but not the people who caused their children’s deaths
