the other day,
my friend said to me that she doesn’t believe in God.
it threw me back a bit because i assumed she did.
in my eyes,
her life seems pretty dope.
it has it’s rocky moments but she isn’t suffering in the least.
last week,
she was blessed with over 3k that she didn’t even ask for.
she doesn’t go to church but i always assumed her faith in God was strong.
nope.
not even a little bit.
i saw ^that post pop up on “the neighborhood talk” and i gotta ask…
why do people who go to church,
pay their tithes,
and pray often get scraps but those who do wrong,
hurt others,
and don’t even believe in Him get blessings upon blessings?
i don’t get it.

it doesn’t help that in this current timeline of chaos and upheaval,
i feel like God has gone missing for the ones who faithfully served.
we got people who use the same God as a means to hurt other people.
it made me wonder:
what’s the point of being faithful to a God that seems to award horrible people better and amazing lives?
am i missing something?
maybe the story of job applies here?
and my biggest question is:
why is God putting faithful people through tests?
what are they being tested for if they have proved themselves through their actions?
…yet jackals and hyenas who do wrong,
hurt,
and break others aren’t being tested.
see post on: the neighborhood talk

It’s not about God rewarding bad people, it’s about God letting the full story play out. Some people’s reward comes now and rots later. Some people’s hardship now becomes a platform for influence, healing, and strength that can’t be taken away. Tests aren’t always to prove you’re worthy; sometimes they’re to prepare you for a level you can’t even see yet. In the meantime, don’t measure your faith against someone else’s “highlight reel”..their ending might not be one you’d want.

^ i love this.
thank you for this and this:
“tests aren’t always to prove you’re worthy; sometimes they’re to prepare you for a level you can’t even see yet.”
it hit.
God is much bigger than our view of wrong and right. Faith is not a tool to measure yourself against anyone else but a tool to keep yourself going despite what disparities are happening around you. Trust me I’ve thought this same thought, but God uses everything in abstract ways beyond our extremely “edited” scriptures.
That’s life.
Because god doesn’t exist in the context of modern Christianity. Everything is god.
