again: 17 dollars.

yesterday,
so i was told to be out of this apartment by july 1st.
i’m at my new job,
trying to focus on what i was doing,
but i’m getting the craziest texts in real time.

all over 17 dollars.

i had to send people the screenshots as they were happening.
when i’m not in here anymore,
i’ll post them with more details on the entire situation.
imagine staying with someone…

…who makes way more money than you,
and they are disrespecting you over 17 dollars.
17 dollars for a surprise grocery bill i got no heads up about on saturday.
i said i’d give them later in the week because i got bills.
i just started my job so i haven’t even gotten paid yet.

rewind: they asked me to borrow 50 dollars on monday,
so i told them i’d let them borrow on wednesday (today),
and they could take the 17 out of that and give me the balance.

so after them going on and on in texts,
i took 17 out of money i had for a bill because i was tired.

i got accused of “making them starve”,
holding money,
using them for a free ride.

…which is wild because i’ve constantly paid monthly what we agreed on,
including groceries and/or takeout.
some situations,
i paid a few days later but i always pay them.
Foxhole,
i’ve come to the realization that:

the only reason they told me to move in with them was to help offset their terrible spending habits.

…because both issues we had was always about money.

it was always about them trying to use me for my income,
while they are paid but somehow,
constantly broke.

…and then piling on random issues to justify that i’m wrong.
my favorite part was:

“all you had to do was wave the white flag and apologize.
this would have been over.”

it was legit psychological abuse that i had to question

Is this actually my friend or does their mind tell them I’m their enemy?
