when dirty hands leave stains

My grandmother always said,
“Bad association spoils useful habits.”

as a young fox,
i rolled my eyes because i was desperate to belong.
as a grown fox with many experiences of betrayal under his fur?
it turns out that Gran was right.
enter the jay and diddy alleged debacle

diddy’s skeletons have been rattling for years.
the closet’s wide open and everything is starting to fall out,
including those who were once his best accessories.
once upon a time,
in a distant new yawk forest back in the 90s,
jay and diddy were thick as thieves

…basking in each other’s aura.
with fresh allegations surfacing,
ones that involve ( x the alleged rape of a 13-year-old after a 00s VMAS ).
suddenly,
anyone who shared a bottle of ciroc with diddy is under scrutiny.
either by fucking them or is about to fuck them as his reputation continues to sink.
now we don’t know if these accusations are true,
but the moral of the story?

Hanging with Diddy for clout and/or your career upgrade hasn’t exactly been the move anyone hoped for.

funny how the same paws you shake can be the ones that sink you.

50 is grinning like the cat who caught the canary.
( x he posted this before he deleted it )
Cancers,
after all,
do love a take down without dirtying our claws.

…but here’s the real questions:
when the cost of association might come with the price of mess in our futures,
is it really worth the payout?
or do we end up just as dirty as the company we keep…

…even if our paws stay technically clean?

hmm.

lowkey: imagine all the people who tolerated diddy that might get dragged in his dirt?

  1. Thank you for saying that. I’m tire of people jumping on the first thing smoking. I’m the type of person who wants all the information before i give my opinion on the matter. Every other there’s a new victim and a outrageous sexual assault.

  2. For the sake of the argument, let’s say allegedly for everything; that being said, the old saying goes “ Birds of a feather flock together”.

Do I believe the specific allegations being made about Jay-Z, particularly regarding an incident 24 years ago involving a 13-year-old girl? No, I don’t. However, we need to stop minimizing everything to a “ guilt by association” narrative.

So let’s get honest and maybe a little controversial. P. Diddy , Jay-Z, R. Kelly, Russell Simmons, Dame Dash, etc., were all running in the same circles, they were all going to the same parties, and all doing the same things to one degree or another.

Jay-Z is 55 years old, he’s old, he just doesn’t present that way. Most people of age remember the rumors surrounding him and Foxy Brown. Jay-Z is 9 years older than Foxy, so just do the math. Adults can do what adults do, but why are we acting like Jay-Z is not 12 years older than Beyoncé? Jay-Z clearly wasn’t looking at anybody his age and older.

It’s hard to care about these things. The United States is a very hypocritical and contradictory place. There are thousands of child marriages that happen every year. One study showed nearly 300,000 people under the age of 18, most between the ages of 16 and 17, but some as young as 10 happened in the United States from 2000 to 2018. Add to that, that the age of consent is different throughout the country. Yeah, in your heavy-hitting states like California and New York, the age is 18, but in many parts of the country, especially in the South, the age of consent is 16. Many attempts to create a national standard and have the age be 18 have been defeated in various legislatures; so we have a big problem, and no one is talking about it.

Jay-Z released a strong statement, and I believe him, and I actually hope he is successful at defending himself and shutting this thing all the way down.

If you wouldn't say it on live TV with all your family and friends watching, without getting canceled or locked up, don't say it on here. Stay on topic, no SPAM, and keep it respectful. Thanks!
