beyonce gets dragged by one of her top villains for this country-inspo album

my only regret in life is it took me a really long time to realize this.
because of my trauma,
i always tried to be seen in a good light.
it was always met with criticism that made me question myself.
you could do everything perfectly,
dotting all “i”‘s and crossing all “t”‘s

They’ll still talk about you like you are filth.

i’m really excited about beyonce dippin’ her feet into country.
i’m a country-lite fan myself but i love when bey puts her spin on things.
i love the two singles she released in anticipation of “cowboy carter“.
she released the album cover yesterday with this caption:

…which i really liked tremendously.
azealia banks doesn’t like any of it and had this to font…

did she font “pound puppy dreadlocks” tho?
i’m weak.

if IMGR doesn’t work:

x DRAG 1
x DRAG 2
x DRAG 3

so here is the thing.

I’m not mad at what Azealia had to font.

azealia is playing the villain and she plays her role quite well.

she is funny,
charismatic,

and is in her “way with words” vocab bag like no other.
i think it’s an honor to be dragged by her tbh.
see what i had to realize is:

We need villains.

we need them to shake the table to push the hero’s (or anti-hero’s) story along.
they need the drama and the spice to keep this shit interesting.
do we have to agree with what they say/font/do?
nope!
are they entitled to their opinions or thoughts?
sure do!
because,
check it:

Bey was treated unfairly by the CMAS and had all kinds of racist shit thrown at her.
They were villains to her when she went to perform Daddy Issues with The Chicks.
She ended up making an album that is considered country and guess what?
“Texas Hold’Em” got her the first #1 song by a black woman on Billboard.

so this is what i failed to understand when i was younger.
or maybe,
deep inside,
i didn’t?

lowkey: when you realize you are where you are because you had villains,
you’ll start to understand why they were needed.

some of our parents are the villains in our stories too.
most importantly to note:

We are the villains in someone else’s story too.

  1. I laugh when I see Ms. Banks has comments about ANYTHING, but after reading this latest rant I can’t say I don’t agree (ESPECIALLY with the “Beyonce would be more interesting WITHOUT JayZ’s input” idea) and that she didn’t speak SOME truth in her remarks…that’s my crazy aunt for ya!!!

  2. If Azealia had a talk show, it would get ratings but cancelled quick due to controversy. Maybe she should do a podcast. She’s truly the only one who could fill the “guilty pleasure gossip” void Wendy Williams left and with her industry tea, her blind items would go viral weekly.

Her homophobia and demonic activity disturb me though. If you know, you know. White people activities smh

  3. She peed all over the front porch with that beautiful, luxurious, life transforming READ! That bitch TWISTED wigs, DREADS, BUNDLES and THONGS with this.
This is the quiet portion that the hive be thinking, but will not speak aloud.
    ” Now, sashay away”!.

  4. Nothing Azaleia ever says moves me. She’s the definition of an angry black woman, and very homophobic

  5. If Azealia would put more energy into her music instead of coming for others, I believe she would be really successful.
