i listened to it on repeat yesterday because in that moment,
it was something that made me happy.
i choose to overindulge in anything that makes me happy.

the beat sounded really good in my headphones too.
i don’t know but i was into it.
i watched the video and i found myself annoyed with jlo…

i mean,
the video was cute but i’m so over jlo and this toxic love shit.
i’ll get into that later.

First off…

this song needs a rapper.
like,
a good one.
i feel like her producers give her basic shit to work with.
like,
beyonce goes into the studio and gives her all.
her producers know when to stack her vocals or give full creative energy.
jlo isn’t that great of a singer to be out here giving “basic“.
she has to be on the same energy the other studio singers are on.
like,
it needs to be cooked all the way through and served well done.

Secondly…

if she doesn’t come out with a remix with sean paul,
since she took the chorus from one of his biggest hits:

…that will piss me allllllllllllllll the way off.
some of ya’ll don’t know how a sean paul song use to set it off at a party.
this was before paying to go into a venue to be in our phones.

Third…

my issue with jlo is she does this cute “romantic comedy” shit,
but from the alleged rumors bts,
she doesn’t come off like a kind person.
allegedly,
she has been known to be a bitch.
so these types of videos don’t always work for me with her.

Lastly…

i want to see jlo play a villain.
like,
a full blown narc villain boss bitch from hell.
something “devil wears prada” lite where she can dress bomb and torment people.
i want her to embrace playing a villain because she seems she’d be good at it.
rather than:

“I LOVE LOVE!
LOVE LOVE LOVE!”

i’m just sick of it,
ya know?

jlo is stuck in the late 90s-early 00s where we didn’t hear about her alleged antics.
i think if she took her mask off and be that diva latina bitch she allegedly is,
it would be a dope rebrand than this “rainbows and butterflies” nonsense.
