you’re single and hating life on valentine’s day, huh?

What we’re not gon’ do today is feel depressed.
What we’re not gon’ do today is feel worthless.
What we’re not gon’ do today is feel left out.

because let’s be real,
today is just the day for people to flex off their relationships.
the posts are rolling in:

“Haha,
I ain’t lonely today,
bitch!”

but realistically

Many of these folks will be complaining in a few weeks.
Hell,
maybe tomorrow.

every year,
the same declarations of love.
every year,
the same breakups,
the same divorces,
the same “it just didn’t work out” captions three months later.
i stopped feeling bad about valentine’s day when i realized it’s mostly cap.
couples i knew that once looked perfect?
done.
others using this day as an excuse to have sex?
like they weren’t already gonna do that next week,
next month,

or during the summer when everyone’s in full-blown hoe mode.

I don’t even know WHY we would even choose to feel bad tbh.
You can bag and fuck many of these malez in these relationships if we choose.

Like,
please.

i won’t lie:

There were moments I wondered what Work Wolf,
WW3,
The First Wolf I Ever Loved“,
or even Attentionistos I have fantasized about were doing on Valentine’s Day.

it made me sad about the “what ifs” and “whys“.
many of them are either single,
married/baby daddying with kids,

or locked in some personal hell of their own making.

we need to learn to enjoy being single.
we could be stuck in a dead-end/toxic/abusive relationship,
forcing good times for IG so everyone thinks we are happy or worse…

Being on the DL,
trapped with an annoying vixen and/or annoying kids,
and can’t be brave enough to be with the manz of our dreams.

i choose single.

lowkey: you know daddy is just showing out for socials today/this weekend.
he’ll be back lusting after you by next week.

take it from me.
