when i watched the first episode of the 5th season of “stranger things”,
i won’t even hold you:

1 – i was bored AF
2 – i was lost AF because i didn’t know wtf was going on

sometimes,
they take too long in-between breaks with shows that you up and forget.
thank God for youtube recaps,
amirite?
anyhoo,
after the recap and as i continued on with the season,
it started to get better and more interesting.

the character of will has been through a lot of shit.

as you know,
vecna sought him out because evil was easier to break him.

if you been watching the show since the 4th season,
you know that will has struggled with (and spoilers ahead)…

his sexuality and have a crush on mike.

mike is straight and his best friend.
in the 4th episode of this last season titled “sorcerer“,
which as you watch makes sense,
robin (who is a lesbian) peeped that will was into mike.

like many gay Foxholers,
we know what its like to want to see ourselves in someone else.

what she said to will really sat with me:

i love that she didn’t pressure him to make this grand “come out” announcement.
how i took it is:

he didn’t know who he was and once he found that truth within himself,
and he accepted himself for who he truly is,
that is when he will find ultimate freedom.

…and if you continue watching that episode,
you will see that once he finally let go and start the first step of accepting,
that is when he achieved his full powers.

this is why they say when you stop looking for a manz,
and you finally start putting all that love and healing within yourself,
that is when you find the manz you been looking for.
you entire aura will become desirable to other males.

i like what venca said to him because honestly,
this is how jackals and hyenas view others that are weaker and easy to manipulate:

many of us are scared of being ourselves because it came from trauma or society.
this isn’t to tell you come out if you aren’t ready but its a message i’ve always fonted.
we don’t know who we are because we were trained to understand that:

who we are is not good so we need to be someone else or hide ourselves to be accepted.

…and we end up secretly falling for “straight” males we desire to fix or save.
sometimes,
they are hiding themselves from themselves and we pick up on it too.
other people can see our potential,
like we see the potential in the other males we crush(ed) on,
but we can’t see that because we have learned to separate and disassociate.
this is why it’s easy for jackals and hyenas to prey on us.
they can smell the scent of who to fuck with.

i love when good TV gives me an “a-ha” moment.

i can’t wait to see what happens next cause i know mike is about to fuck vecna up.
