turning 30 means you is old and not fun anymore

star fox didn’t make it to see his 30th birthday.
he wanted me to go to atlanta because he was doing something big for it.
he was living there before his death and had this whole 30th bash planned.

Sidebar: I will always regret not going with him to atlanta pride years before.
It would have been our first time traveling together and going there.
I bailed because of fear but he ended up going by himself.
The stories he told me made me sad I let fear fuck up a fox trip together.

whenever i start feeling insecure about aging,
i remember that star fox won’t have the luxury to see any other birthday.
for many of us right now…

Many people that we know won’t make it to their 30th,
40th,
or 50th birthdays.

we might not even make it to celebrate those milestones.
it’s a blessing to make it to our next birthday tbh.

so when i see caresha and her daydreams of becoming the next oprah,
who is in her late 60s and full of wisdom btw,
tweeting that she doesn’t want to get old by turning 30

She must think Diddy,
her boyfriend in his early 50s,
must be ancient af then.

30 is not old.
neither is the 40s and 50s.
hell,
maybe even the 60s.
“old” is a state of mind.

we are aging differently than our parents and the boomers before them.
embrace getting younger (as i like to call it) and stfu.

lowkey: she kinda looks older than her age tbh.
i thought she was in her 30s.

  1. Gays think this sometimes too and its because they’re stupid and vapid so all they have is their youth to make them worth something

Anyone with a brain knows without getting older you die

  2. Better Thank God that u made it that far!!! No shade…. but the way this world is going now….Be Grateful Hunni….Just think about it… My mother lost her life at the age of 18 when she was a senior in high school….Just think about being the only child that’s now about to turn 45…. Getting older is a BLESSING!!!!

  3. Your 30’s are your prime years tbh. Your 20’s are where most of your mistakes are made. That’s where you discover yourself as a person. You use those experiences to build a steady foundation for yourself, and your 30’s to build upon that foundation.

I’ve had more success in the first year of my 30’s than all of my 20’s combined.
