“the haunting of hip hop” starring kendrick lamar in gnx

The boogeyman of hip-hop strikes again.

kendrick lamar dropped a surprise album yesterday,
gnx,
and the message is still loud and clear:

Whoever wants to be dragged to hell can step up.
He’s ready.

in wacced out murals“,

kendrick took a swipe at lil wayne,
calling out his teary-eyed rant about not getting picked for the super bowl.

as you know,
or didn’t,
but the super bowl in his hometown of nawlins this year.

this morning,
wayne logged onto elon’s swamp and chose…

…victim?

suddenly,
he’s all “what’s going on?” but we know exactly what’s going on.
kendrick’s waiting to drag him straight to hip-hop hell like the other one.
snoop,
who also got a light tug in the song:

had the good sense to blame it on the edibles.

…but wayne?
let’s hope he catches on soon or at least stands on his shit.

as far as drake,
let’s just say the 6 god might still be having nightmares about kendrick.
i’ve been wondering what’s it gonna take to get back on top again?
does he continue addressing kendrick?
or does he admit defeat and try something new?

he should never have poked that bear because as of right now

That bear turned out to be Freddy Kruger.

lowkey: i’ve listened to kendrick’s new album about 100 times now.
i hear something different each time.
i needed the energy from this album.
