one day soon,
people will tell everyone about how they know me.
they’ll shout to the mountaintops:

“I KNEW JAMARI WAY BACK WHEN!
HE WAS SO GREAT!
HE WAS SO KIND TO ME!”

… even those who hurt me will tell a different story.
they might tell the same story including the ones i may have hurt too.

Making all those within The Foxhole proud would mean so much to me tho.

you guys have honestly seen a more real side to me than folks i know irl.
so for you all to witness my success would be awesome.
jonathan majors is hitting his stride and for good reason.
tam’ron hall brought him back to a time when he was a star in the making.
someone from his past joined in that knew he was destined to make it…

i bawled watching this.
thank you to the foxholer who sent it to me.
you can tell he was really touched but also…

He saw himself when he was climbing the ropes.
The person who may not have believed he would have made it.
He was reminded of how far he has come.
Not only that,
he reconnected with one of his believers in his new story.

that is enough to make anyone break down.

  1. Who says you aren’t ‘making it’ right now? You may not have millions, but you have a great platform, that you’re capable of taking even further. I coach gymnastics and teach dance. I always tell my students (and myself) that there is nothing wrong w falling, if you’re actually going for something. If you’re gonna play it safe, you better be clean. But, if you’re gonna go for Simone Biles levels, and fall, you pick yourself up, and try it again.

    1. You’re correct Jason Bourne. I have to remember to speak things in the present tense as we visualize them from our future self. And yes Jamari is already successful too. He just will continue to make it better! And you do the same. You’re successful and making an impact on the future generations! Your legacy is being cemented right now too! The lessons that you’re teaching your kids, I’m taking it to heart too! 🙏🏾♥️🙌🏾✨💯

      so my old story: looking at everyone else and seeing their success.
      feeling like i haven’t accomplished anything to the level of some people irl.

      my new story: i am making it and have many accomplishments for my resume.
      there is no need to look at anyone else and what they’re doing.
      i am blessed and i am abundant.

  2. Yes, Jamari. You will be majorly successful one day. And for those of us who are here with you in The Foxhole, we will declare that we knew you would make it. And be where you are. Just like it says in Habakkuk 2:1-3, “…write the vision and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

    Your work that you are leaving here will be a part of your legacy. And it’s the thing that will make you last forever! Keep moving forward, Jamari!
