I’m sorry… maybe I wasn’t paying close enough attention, but where was there a reference to mermaids in the music video? The only thing I saw that could have possibly been interpreted as a mermaid was when she was wearing the clam-shell bra with the long brown hair, which was an clear homage to “The Birth of Venus” by Sandro Botticelli. I love Azealia, but she needs to learn her art history. Secondly, Bette Midler did mermaids first, then Sade, then Gaga, then Azealia. Ms. Banks needs to learn her place. That is all. LOL!
