HEALING THROUGH STAGNATION

you ever peeped those people who were doing nothing and looked like they were going nowhere?
they were stagnant and literally spent their days on the couch or playing video games.
suddenly,
a shift happened,
and that “stagnant” life is in the rear view mirror.

i think some people end up thriving after being stagnant tbh.
i was always taught that if i wasn’t doing something,
if i wasn’t moving like everyone else,
that i was a failure at life.
i see it with a lot of people tbh.

if they aren’t on,
they feel off.

…but i’ve learned a lesson time and time again,
especially right now in my life

sometimes,
the breakthrough begins in the chapter where nothing happens.

no announcements for rih’s socials.
no updates for linkedin.
no “i’m doing this” for the family group chat.

the chapter we think is stagnation is actually the beginning,
and if we use that quiet time correctly,
we can use it to heal the parts of us that have restricted us.
sometimes,
we are forced to do nothing to truly look at ourselves.

“i’m a hot mess.”
“i’m nothing without accomplishments.”
“i’m lost without a partner.”

we keep believing life requires us to be “on” and being stagnant is bad.
i’ve had to learn that life can hit the off switch and shut everything down.
not as punishment,
but as protection and a time to do some serious inner work.
this is what’s happening in this “off” season in my life.
some people feel lost when they aren’t doing anything.
tbh,
i’ve had my best “a-ha” moments when i was in my “off” seasons.
i stepped back,
shit maybe fell on my azz and slid down the whole mountain,
only to climb back up with bloody paws to get to swinging.
hell: ya’ll have witnessed many of those moments in Foxhole’s past.
when everything goes still and when plans stall

that is where magic can be made.

so if we look at it differently,
stagnation isn’t failure.
it’s a pause to make sure we don’t drag yesterday’s wounds into tomorrow’s blessings.
we gotta heal the glitches before we go back online.

it’s maintenance season before the miracle.

lowkey: how many of us favs vanished from the spotlight and came back with heat?
