The Foxhole knows when i’m going through something,
my spirit picks an album for me to process.
i was never a broadway kind of fox.
that was karaoke’s thing.
she is a full blown theater vixen,
who has found her way into acting in plays.
well,
i’m here to font you….
…i can’t get:
“good newsssssssssssssss!
she’s deadddddddddddddddd!
the witch of the west is dead!
the wickedest witch that ever was!”
…out of my head because i been listening to both soundtracks in order on a playlist i made.

i know.
welcome to the final stop in gayeville.
i’m currently in the “friend of dorothy” section.
all jokes aside,
with everything happen in my life atm,
this soundtrack is really hitting for me rn.
when you have tried to do everything in your power to do good,
but people who aren’t good want to label you as “wicked”,
it can be a very heavy cross to carry.
this movie speaks to black folks,
people of color,
gay folks,
trans,
and all of the above if applicable.
i saw “wicked for good” last week and i won’t even hold you…
i cried more than i did in the first one.
…and i cried only at the parts where elphie was being treated unfairly.
madam morrible convincing everyone she was wicked
the munchkins going along with what they heard about elphie
glinda kinda just being stuck between a rock and a hard place
how helpless elphie felt when everyone wasn’t listening to her about the wizard
…which,
in this conclusion,
i ended up really seeing glinda’s POV.
they explained why she did what she did and it helped me see her differently.
i fux with her and i fux with “popular” heavy.
i had “popular” on repeat a few weeks ago.
one of my favorite lines from the movie was:
“people need to see you as wicked so they can see someone else as good.”
some folks only function if they’re cast as the victim because of you,
even when they were the one swinging the sword.
so in your past,
or maybe even right now,
you’re the villain and not because you did something unforgivable,
but because the other person couldn’t handle being wrong.
whew.

i needed this soundtrack when i was younger tbh
…but i think the stars aligned for me to need it now.
i believe everything in our lives has it’s time and place.
some things/people we need now,
some things/people we need to learn from,
and some things/people we need in the future when the time is right.
on that note:
lowkey: i believe God knows who is wicked and who is actually good.
if you notice,
they are usually exposed when the timing is right.
