“the pattern” in the way it dragged me
i wrote on my twitter this morning:
“the pattern app dragged me”
…and i’m okay with that.
a good dragging can help you understand yourself better.
we are all ignorant until we get the answers.
a co worker told me about the app last week,
but when a foxholer mentioned it to me in a recent convo,
i knew The Universe was pushing me to download it.

trapped between 59th and 86th
i’ve been through some “wtf” shit on the mta,
but yesterday took the cake.
for the outsiders,
the mta is new yawk’s train.
i’m use to the mta being an entire shit show of epic proportions.
it’s been “ain’t shit” for decades.
you trying to get somewhere on time,
but the train decides to do that sleep creep to every stop
sick passengers fuck up your train and the ones behind it
randomly stalling and everyone having it get off
yesterday tho,
i was trapped underground for about 2 hours…
are you getting f*cked as hard as i am?
mercury retrograde check in with the foxhole.

i wasn’t scared.
growing up in new yawk,
we always gotta be prepared for the unexpected.
i know one thing…
I was VEX AF with how the MTA was running
that’s not new tho…
so my new job/career gave me feedback about my performance today…
criticism.
we have all received it on many occasions.
some of us can’t handle it tho.
we implode at the thought of someone critiquing us.
that use to be me until karaoke taught me to:
a) learn to laugh at myself
b) find the positive within the negative
so the hr vp had a meeting with today.
she asked all the executives,
along with other random employees,
to give feedback to her about my how i’m doing so far.
i’ll be completely open with the foxhole tonight.
