Britney Spears Shows You What “Vocals” Are

what i love about streaming music,
we can listen to so many albums we never gave a chance.
sidebar: the other day i was listening to fiona apple’s album,
“tidal”.

lowkey obsessed.
so i was actually listening to britney’s older discography the other night.
some of her bubblicious pop music has aged terribly,
but even still,
she has a serious catalog of hits.
well,
she turned 36 today.
happy birthday britney!
madonna decided to sing “toxic” for “world’s aids day” yesterday.

“toxic”…
for world’s aids day…
madonna…
i can’t.
britney decided to return the acapella favor with elvis presley’s,
“can’t help falling in love”

i think we have all come to appreciate her studio singing.

lowkey: britney also has my all time favorite gif for the foxhole.

  1. Didn’t bother listening, we all know Brit wasn’t “the voice”.
Her kept boyfriend is handsome, but we all know what’s good here. I just see another JLO, Mariah, Madonna, Kourtney K situation. A mature woman who has had her kids and a share of failed relationships looking for a cute young thang to hit it whenever they need some. I can’t see what else these men have to offer other than dick on command and headaches.

I’m not knocking them though, have fun. Men do this with younger women ALL the time ALL over the world, (shit they do it with younger men too lol) so I can’t hate on a woman who wants to call the shots and have fun whenever she feels like it.

      1. how bout you read and research what I said and look up sheep goat. #whenuneducatedcomment. #stayinyourlane #orSTFU

  2. She’s fine as a singer, but she was definitely a whole package. Decent voice, good dancer, beautiful, very authentic and approachable personality. She was working from a bunch of different angles.she never had to rely on just one thing to be successful. Unlike say christina who really only has her voice.

    1. Marketing/A&R hit a goldmine with her. She had the look, but definitely NOT the voice, which was true with a lot of the bubble gum pop artists of that decade. Lets throw a good-looking person with a mediocre voice into the studio and watch them become stars. There were a lot of one-hit wonders, but a few made it far. She is truly a studio singer if ever there was one.

Christina definitely had the voice, but she didn’t have the “look” or personality needed to overtake Britney at the time.

      1. ^is it me or do certain artists miss something?
        like,
voice and no personality/music is boring.
no voice and the music is amazing/they got charisma off the charts.

      2. I honestly don’t know or understand it either, J. It amazes me that people that really don’t have great singing voices excel in the industry, whereas those who have the amazing voices just don’t do as well.
You’ll have a few that make it, but the majority don’t…and I can’t understand it.
It’s more about looks that actual talent.
