when you are so offended by a tv character’s death, it burns

foxhole:

I cannot stop thinking about The Fall of the House of Usher on Netflix

that show has been living in my head rent free after i binged it.
one thing tho:

Victorine’s death still has me confused

did she take her own life after she realized what she did?
or did she go mad and was under the influence of “bat shit crazy”?
i found a video where the cast was explaining their character deaths.

i saw a comment about prospero aka perry,
played by sauriyan sapkota,

who was the youngest sibling:

^they were offended by perry’s death and but tbh…

Perry was the typical  queer “sex positive” brat who died as he lived.

you know the ones who get offended by every single thing.
the ones who want to be more than what they are.
if you tell them otherwise,
they will play victim like the whole forests are against them.
like,
all you do is live your truth of privilege by being defined by sex.
perry was one of the two who annoyed me the most.
not because he was queer or liked sex:

He was an idiot who was reckless and a bully.
He claimed “victim” not because he was an actual victim but because he was lazy,
pumped full of privilege,
and wanted to feel “part of something” when he realized he wasn’t.

typical shit you see happening nowadays.
he had “followers” who didn’t,
and couldn’t,
check him on his behavior.
they didn’t want to mess up their free rides of sex and luxury.
perry was a sex positive madman who died “in the middle” of it.
if we used the seven deadly sins to describe these characters,
he would have been lust.

if you watch the show,
you’ll see what i’m talmbout.

  1. Gay peoples favorite words to regurgitate is phobia and shaming. I really want us to graduate beyond thinking everyone has to like and accept our proclivities. We don’t like every straight person. That tweet reminded me of the week those men in texas got exposed for cruising in the park and blue checks and social media politicians started saying it’s queerphobic and pulling historic dates out of their ass about how during the fight for gay rights men had to hook up in public bc they Weren’t out. First of all- no they didn’t . Second, why don’t y’all have parties at home if you wanna have an orgy. Lastly, cruising is innately unsafe bc you’re hooking up with people regularly who you don’t know. Herpes can be transmitted even with a condom. There’s no prep for that. There’s a bigo gay crying right now bc he doesn’t know who gave him an STD. Gays do dangerous things and rather say RIP over and over when it spins out of control vs. preaching accountability, correcting the issues and having less deaths in the community.

They did this with the fentanyl deaths too. Encouraging testing the coke before you snort it. How about discouraging the Coke use? Recently a gay man wanted to hook up with two light brights he met online for a threesome they slit his throat and threw him off a bridge. https://www.clickorlando.com/news/florida/2023/10/25/florida-couple-accused-of-taking-turns-cutting-mans-throat-throwing-him-off-bridge-he-survived/

He thankfully survived. But straight people know gays are obsessed with sex and it’s starting to go mainstream that the community is an easy target
