i was gonna write an entry about him a few weeks ago.
his ex-manager outed him about ( x his alleged drug use ).
i never got around to it and the twitter thread got deleted.
it seemed like things were good but this news today really broke me…
Euphoria star Angus Cloud has died. He was 25.
The actor, who starred as Fezco in the hit HBO series, died at his family’s home in Oakland, California, his family confirmed to PEOPLE.
“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today,” Cloud’s family said in a statement. “As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.”
The family noted that Cloud’s father died last week and the actor “intensely struggled with this loss.”
“The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend,” the statement continued. “Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.”
“We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”
from the wording,
it appears he took his own life.
judging from his father’s passing,
his mental health issues,
the out-of-control drug use,
work being on pause due to the strike,
and euphoria not coming back until 2026,
it seemed like it was a lot to bear.
i really liked him but you could tell he was a restless spirit.
his energy was heavy with sadness to me.
if he did take his own life,
i hope he has found peace that he couldn’t find here.

3:30 PM PT — We’ve learned Oakland PD and Fire Dept. responded to a 911 call made around 11:30 AM Monday by Angus Cloud‘s mother. She reported a “possible overdose,” and said Angus did not have a pulse. He was eventually pronounced dead on the scene.
A source close to the family tells us Angus had been battling severe suicidal thoughts after getting back from Ireland, where they laid his father to rest. We’re told he was staying with his family as he tried to work though overcoming the grief.

You have my sympathy. I was in disbelief many years ago when Jacqueline Onassis and JFK Jr both died. She was a role model of elegance and class: who in some ways I wanted to emulate. To me those deaths were surreal, considering the prior family tragedies.
