the kids are not alright.

what do you think drives someones to go through with taking their own life?
like,
what is the final straw?
in my head,
it can be that deep feeling of doom.
as much as you try to tell yourself it’s going to be okay,
your reality is showing you that it might not be.
some people can’t see the glass half full as much as they try.

that or they did something absolutely horrific and death is the best option.
they know they gonna be under the prison so why not end it now.

i always font that when we take your own lives,
even when we have kids,
we are really in a deep place of despair.
hell,
even leaving behind your beloved animal.
i got some shocking news about a couple we have fonted out before.
it’s 1/2 of this viral picture here…

kordale lewis,
who is on the left of this picture,
took his own life.
one of the Foxholers sent me an update:

i’m shocked but i had to ask myself:

am i really tho?

i’m not shocked anymore because many people are unhappy.
i have fonted about folks big and small,
fame or no fame,
that have deleted themselves for more and less.
we put on these smiles and performances for social media,
but selfies don’t always capture the burdens we are carrying.
while i don’t know why he decided to take his own life,
i will give him grace that he tried his best.

we are all trying our best.

i want to send condolences to those he left behind,
but even more,
that his kids will be lifted up by their dad and loved ones.
rest in peace to kordale lewis.
