it truly inspires me as someone trying to make it as well.
some of these folks were on the brink of giving up or unliving.
many didn’t have support from the masses and felt alone.

Thank you for this post, Jamari. Yes, to everything you just said in this post. And yes, we will make it, one day soon. I definitely do agree with you. And yes, when we do make it and are in our post-struggle into our glow up phase, then yes it will be a lot of individuals who will be on our dicks heavy too. Maybe I’m being a little bitter or not, but when I am in my post-struggle and into my glow up phase, then ALL of those “fine ass wolves” whom I lusted after and wanted so badly, I will PASS on them ALL! I will literally be giving them the “Whitney Houston/Oprah shun!” Like…”Do I know you?” I’m sorry, but that’s how I feel. Because I feel like, if you didn’t want me during my glow up phase ‘internally’ then you definitely will not have me during my shining phase & season, externally then! And that’s on period.
Yes, you’re correct, some of us wouldn’t even give Jonathan Majors the time of day back then. Although he wasn’t ugly back then either, but like you said, let’s all keep it a buck. We probably wouldn’t have. BUT at the same time, that’s why whenever I see someone else have their “glow up season” I be glad for them. Because I am traveling that same journey, and I know that my day is coming too! And I can dream through them to see how my glow up season and phase will be too!!
