another victory for trump in the books!

last night at the ‘24 bet awards,
it was all about getting black folks out there to vote.

almost every presentation; almost every commercial.
taraji even went off script at one point.
after that debate,
folks are scared.
even if folk’s think biden’s a zombie,
they really don’t want “the orange one” back.
after this news,
i think this is another reason why.
trump’s got the supreme court shielding him via msnbc

The Supreme Court on Monday finally ruled on Donald Trump’s presidential immunity claim, finding some of the former president’s alleged efforts to overturn the election are immune from criminal prosecution.

In the majority opinion by Chief Justice John Roberts, the court said former presidents are entitled to “absolute immunity” from criminal prosecution for actions within their conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority. Former presidents, Roberts wrote, are entitled to at least presumptive immunity from prosecution for all their official acts. There is no immunity for unofficial acts, the court said.

our government…?

nothing should shock us anymore.
someone nailed it:

Trump stirred up Jan. 6th and they still want him as president.
Why would they want someone who did that to rule this country?

if that doesn’t tell you everything,
i don’t know what will.

lowkey: from 18-26,
you are ( x auto-enrolled in the draft ).
i guess they assumed with all these work out wolves out here,
they are more than ready to go fight for this country.
all yikes.

  1. Don’t forget, that’s the Orange One’s Supreme Court. Three of those justices are in his back pocket. Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett were picked by him with support of a Republican controlled Senate.

  2. This isn’t an accurate report of their decision. They decided that a president may be immune from prosecution for OFFICIAL acts that could be considered acts. UNOFFICIAL acts such as January 6th are not considered an official presidential act.

    1. SCOTUS provided absolutely no guidelines on determining which acts are official and which are “unofficial” and sent the case back to the D.C. Circuit for Judge Chutkan to somehow determine in which category his actions fall despite their non-definition.

This could very well mean they can rule that Jan. 6th was an official Presidential act in the future which would align with their ruling that prosecutors falsely charged some Jan. 6th participants.

They will do whatever is necessary to shield him from accountability with the hopes he wins the elections. Then, all of the indictments will go poof.
