you know it’s bad when you get fired as a pastor.
you know it’s worse when you get fired as a pastor going to a rick ross concert.
lord help him.
literally…
Pastor Rodney Wills has been fired for attending a Rick Ross concert after nearly four years of service to Mt. Salem Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
“We cannot have our leader supporting people of this world who are tearing down the kingdom of God,” the church’s deacon, Miles Langley said, according to AmericaPreachers.com. “We know that many saints will have mixed opinions from our actions, but this is not how we do things here at Mt. Salem…We cannot have a pastor praising the world one minute then praising the Lord the next. Period.”
The deacon board voted on Wills’ position Saturday (August 3). When Wills arrived to church Sunday (August 4), he found that his name had been removed from his office door and his parking sign had been taken down.
Langley said that this was the second time Wills was found at a Rap show. Months before, the deacon board reportedly met with Wills after he was seen at a Lil Wayne concert.
you know those church hyenas who were also in attendance spotted him.
i’m sure they couldn’t wait to tell someone what they done saw.
he could have been there to join rick ross in prayer and bible study after the concert.
trying to save the lost souls on the floor seats.
hey don’t look at me like that!
it could happen!
well on the positive,

Yall didnt know that Rick Ross titty gravy can heal the sick and make the blind see as well as feed the masses. Behold holy titties. All these judgmental people, he doesnt look like no damn thug, he may have been bringing young people to Christ, you have to get out on the streets and meet people were they are, they not coming into church thats for damn sure. Good luck to you young man, this may be your push to start your own ministry away from these old out of touch elders.
He does look like a thug, and what, age 22?
It pains me that he was given a second chance to do the right thing and he failed. He looks like a thug in that picture so I shouldn’t expect him to know any better. That picture looks like an album cover for God sakes. I have to show my pastor this if he hasn’t seen it already.
I don’t think he looks like a thug in that picture. He looks handsome.Hair is nice, nice beard line up, and nice suit.
Good morning brothers. He wasnt a good role model to the church. When you become a man of the cloth, secular music goes out the window. There are rules and be broke them to be with the world. They already warned him about his attending a concert of another rapper before. I don’t blame them for letting him go. If you aren’t going to work on changing lives then you aren’t doing anything at all. He wasn’t ready for the responsibility and I hope he finds his way to his true calling in Jesus name Amen.
Are you serious?! I don’t think that was really necessary. Many preachers do things of the world. Most people fail to realize that preachers are humans to. Just because you’re saved doesn’t mean that you’re exempt from doing worldly things.
Yep that’s the black church. They can be some of the messiest hypocrites! Mind you they hired him when he was 22 years old, what do you expect?!?…And didn’t even have the courtesy to tell him prior to him arriving at church to find that he had been VOTED OUT! Where is Sister Deborah?!?! 🙂
…AND everybody going to hell except them!!! SMDH
Good morning Zeus. I just explained the role of the man of the cloth below. He broke the rules to entertain a rapper. That is secular music. As a pastor, you have to hold yourself higher and be a leader to your flock. He didn’t know any better which is why they fired him.
Right. He is young. What do you expect him to be doing? Pastors listen to rap.
