YOU CAN’T SIT AT THE FOXHOLE TABLE!
high school.
a place where the jock is worshiped,
the mean girls rule,
and the nerds are tortured.
funny enough,
social media has brought us right back to our classrooms.
learning life and the lessons that come along with it.
we aren’t passing notes in second period history,
but sending direct messages to people we think are cute.
if you have enough followers,
you have the power.
hell if you have a fat ass you are popular.
we have taken a sad turn.
i often wondered if life is just on big continuation after we graduate?
even in college,
there is still a social caste system we will probably never avoid.
i started to wonder…
Where do you fit in?
i never really wanted to fit in.
i’m happy living my life the way it is.
you have more fun when you aren’t “mainstream popular“.
i also have more fun speaking my mind and being the smart ass.
i don’t need a ton of people in my life who i can’t tell who is fake or real.
“omg you look fuckin’ amazing!”
really means…
“that ugly ass shirt jamari got on is giving me vertigo.“
once you open the doors to that life,
you always have to be on.
seems like a lot of work without a paycheck.
no one cares if you are sad.
god forbid your house burns down and you lose everything.
they want you to have a shirt off.
SHIRT OFF!
GREASED UP!
AND MAYBE A HINT OF PRINT!
all of that show boating comes with a price especially when you keep up appearances.
if you don’t live up to the expectations people set for you,
you will quickly be pushed off your pedestal for someone else.
so turn your brain off.
this site is not meant to be popular.
well, not “mainstream popular”.
i’m supposed to live good and have stories to tell.
my biggest buzz comes from word of mouth and not:
“look what ratchet shit i did today“.
which really means…
“look what baller wolf i outed today!“
i’ll leave that for mediatakeout.
once that “life” happens,
then it is all eyes on me and i will lose myself.
i’m sure more wolves with status will try to fuck with me on the low.
people attach themselves to what is popular for the thrill or the connections.
plus, those people won’t tell you the truth.
like high school,
popularity is fleeting.
you can be the shit today and yesterday’s trash tomorrow.
when you are popular based on looks or material things,
you got a good year or two to milk it before the next best thing comes along.
no one will give a fuck about you anymore.
this is why all the “cute” people in high school are now ugly.
they are all fat with a million kids.
i started to wonder about high school: then and now.
are we all competing to be taken seriously by people?
do we want others to know who we are because we don’t?
or, is it all just harmless fun in fucking with people’s minds?
there is always a “something” these popular kids don’t tell you.
you automatically win with a lighter complexion,
a fat ass gets you far,
the dumb rule the world,
and the more of a hoe you come off the better…
but once that ends,
it’s a cold, dark, and lonely world.
you could as well turn your phone off,
disable your online profiles,
and join the jehovah’s witnesses.
i started to wonder…
being in one of the popular college frats i’ll be honest, it takes a different turn from inside. i love my frat to the end but i recommend to prospects to seek membership for grander purposes than just the initial hype
@ Jamari, The Man, and MindBlown…sorry guys I cant do follow-ups with this janky phone lol! Yes Jamari..all of the attention slores claim to have a talent, yet they never show it all we see is a nice body and face…that dont take talent. Looks fade and what is important is the quality of ones heart @ The Man…let me first say I love reading your comments…wise beyond your years! I’m sure your personality and looks made people flock to you! We may be brothers from another mother lol@ MindBlown A.K.A. Class Cutie :)..respect goes a long way and people really appreciate it when u try to include them and show them that they are special just like everyone else. Some of the coolest people i’ve met have been the ones that sat off to side and didnt demand to much attention of themselves.
Being popular on the gay scene is nothing that I would never wanna be. All the hot boys from 10yrs ago who are all now washed up acts-fat, out of shape, druggies and drunks are judge harshly because as gay men we are never supposed to age, get out of shape, or have any problems. Also all the so call popular crews are a bunch of messy ass haters, they all talk about everybody else when they are together, and talk about each other when they are apart. I was at some gay parties during the holidays and witness first hand the cattiness, bitchiness, and general nasty behavior many gay men have for one another. We all know it only takes, some muscles, big dick, and being young and you can rise to the top of the gay popularity circle until everybody sleeps with you and toss you out with yesterday’s trash. If no one knows me in gay circles that would be just fine with me. When you are known and popular and you fall off that pedestal its a hard and lonely fall and God forbid you catch a deadly disease you will really see how harsh and cold these so called people who you thought love you will be.
I guess in the str8 world with all these attention whores, they feel the sting when the next best thing comes along, Im sure as I type this its some 16yr old in his basement doing push ups and lifting weights who will be ready in a couple of years to knock George Hill, Steven Beck, and all these other attention whores off their Instagram pedestals.
I never been apart of the popular crowd (I was well known in college but that was when I started to come out of my shell.)! All of my friends in high school were misfits…the fat girls, the goths, the gays, the nerds, the outcasts..
I was fine with that life because nobody notice me.
I have always been a loner and probably will always be like that.
With my site gettin’ a lot of attention lately, I am noticing that my popularity among ‘the gays’ is growing.
I even had to make a seperate Facebook page because I didn’t want to offend my family/REAL friends with the faggotry I would get every day.
I must admit I like the attention but I don’t like the hoe shit. Dudes contacting me left and right wanting to throw their ‘tight’ ass at me. I get weird out by stuff like that. I guess it’s just the natural of the beast.
I don’t show my face a lot because I don’t need the public attention. It’s nice to be well known but I never been about that ‘popular’ life.
I don’t mean to put Arquez on blast but he is on my subscription list and I notice that whatever he post on his wall, he is bound to get at least 20+ likes and comments within a second.
‘About to Fleet’ (14 Likes)
‘I Want To Get Crazy Wasted’ (24 likes)
‘My dog died’ (29 likes)
‘I want to fuck’ (239 likes)
‘I want to jump off a bridge and die (5134 Likes)
And I have met him several times in person and you can see the loneliness in his eyes. This dude is crazy popular but he obviously don’t have any REAL friends to be honest with him. I kinda feel sorry for people like him.
Just an observation..
^that is actually kind of sad.
VERY sad man..
That last little paragraph spoke volumes. I wonder if that’s why people who are very popular talk about being alone. I never thought they could possibly not have any real friends.
Me neither. It’s so sad…. I had a friend of mines tell me long ago. How can you be SO popular and have SO many ‘friends’ and still feel so lonely? I understand that now….smdh
That’s why the young ones need to know that everything is not what it seems with the popular kids.
Its funny because I was pretty popular in high school and college, but I never did anything to get popular IMO! I even won prom king and most popular over all of the atheletes and cool kids…I’m still trying to figure out how lol. I never liked having alot of people knowing me because I’m the type that can have fun by myself and love spending time alone. I think people gravitated towards me because of my personality and some because of my looks (not to sound conceited). I always treated people the way I wanted to be treated and people respected me for that. I also believe that some people tried to be around me either to use me or get in my pants (men and women) thanks for the spiri of discernment! The good thing is I never let popularity go to my head and I remained humble, and also took time out to speak to those who others didnt consider worthy. Some take their popularity and use it for evil, and those are the ones who looks like shit now or have messed up lives.
has anyone noticed that these new breed of popular attention whores all have some “talent” they aren’t good at?
Damn Rain. You sound like me to a tee, except for the prom king and winning most popular lol.
In highschool I won class cutie and best dressed hahahaha it’s so funny thinking about highschool superlatives. I did the same thing in that I respected everyone and did not have a problem talking to anyone which is why I was very well liked.
Not really I have been in that situation before where you are center of attention. When you have the spotlight on you, you become very insecure and so you seek validation from other and it causes this never ending circle of seeking attention and validation. Plus, when you are in the spotlight you can never be yourself b/c people are constantly judging you and you have this fear that if who you are is not what people expect of you, that you will be tossed to the side and forgotten, which is true. Then you have to worry about the people around and whether or not you can trust them and also have to figure out if they are plotting on you.
^this is why if you are living the fox/wolf/or hybrid crown life,
it is better to be a mystery and keep all attention at bay.
this is how so many people get caught up.
it is so worth it living under the radar.
you can know people,
but you don’t want to be too familiar.
I have been on both sides of the fence when it comes to this. I know how it feels to popular and unpopular, and they both come with pros and cons. No, popularity is not worth it because you are always in the spotlight. Whatever you do people are always watching. You have to put more of a front and it is hard to be yourself. I also want to bring up the point that some people gain popularity without doing anything. Look at Katherine Webb, she has blown up from attending her man’s football game, and she only blew up mainly because she’s pretty not even what she was originally famous for. She is popular because of her looks. We the people made her that way. No one knew who she was prior to the past couple of days. She went from around 30,000 to 100,000 Twitter followers within 24 hours, that’s crazy. It’s the same with attention whores, if we didn’t put them on a pedestal they wouldn’t be so popular, now that’s our fault, not theirs. I can admit that I give in to the attention whores and talk about them and shit, but I will not blame them for it. All I have to do is ignore them, and that’s all everyone else has to do too.
At the end of the day, it’s a better life to be unpopular if you ask me. That way a person can live more free without be under a microscope. If no one knows you then you will not be watched.
^110.
I think it’s one of those “the grass is always greener on the other side” type deals.
I’ve never ever fit into any social caste system.
A lot of these popular cliques aren’t really close. There’s a lot of envy and pettiness within them. They’re just keeping their competition close.
I also find when you strip away their “status” a lot of these people are not really interesting. They NEED that mystique that comes with being popular because their actual personality is like watching paint dry.
I love hearing the thoughts of what I call the “tragic attention whore”. You know the guys that post nothing but shirtless pics and gets upset when gay dudes start adding him or the dude who says “being attractive is such a cure because dudes only wanna fuck”. Maybe that because you’re not worth getting to know. The individual behind the good looks is stale.
^
“why do these fags add me?
i hate it!
STRAIGHT! FEMALES ONLY!!!
ONLY LIKING WOMEN!!!
PUSSY ONLY APPLY!!!” – the “tragic attention whore”.
gay men like men who look good.
so either enjoy the attention,
or stat putting up pictures of you in a sweater.
see how much attention that gets ya.
i always want to “well duh jackass” them.
Exactly, it just screams “I’m insecure”. Only an imbecile would think they’re gay just because gay men find them attractive.
Do they ever stop putting those shirtless pics up?
Do they even change their profile to private?
Nope, of course not! They’re the tragic attention whore.
^personally,
i think a ton of them are gay/bi.
society tells them that vixens need to like them.
they are taking the attention off themselves and making it into a joke.
