can we have a conversation about these AI motown remixes? just a quick chat…

I’ve found my latest obsession.

i really love the motown sound.
i’ve liked it even as a kid.
it reminds me of being in Mum’s car where i was introduced to older music.
my mother liked current r&B of that time but anytime we got in the car,
she would have the station on the golden oldies.
because of her,
one of my fav songs is “baby love” was diana ross and the supremes.
i was on youtube and randomly bumped into these AI remixes

First of all,
I love a good remix.
As a millennial child,
we were exposed to remixes that were often better than the original song.

Second,
the vibes of these songs are immaculate.

Sonically,
i’m in a whole other decade
.

in a perfect forest,
they’d on streaming services so i could wear them TF out.

lowkey: unfortunately,
many can’t sing nowadays and are dependent on autotune for a hit.
i feel like bey,
mariah,
and ush could whip up something like this for fun.

lowkey 2: i feel like people really like these kinds of productions.
“made for you” by muni long sounds like a 90s-00s r&b song and that was a hit.

these songs take us back to when times were good tbh.

  1. Is it bragging to say that because I have youtube music as my streaming app, i can literally put all these in on my playlist? Maybe. But I can, so I shall. Btw, that’s how we got BBL Drizzy. King Willonious made the Motown version, Metro heard it and sampled it into the beat that most people know.
