so with all his antics,
black,
gay af,
and still pulling in numbers with his music with 2 grammys

That sounds like he has opened doors for all of us to walk through.

you don’t have to be like lil nas x to the tee.
he can be too much but it suits him.
you have to have a high self-concept and be unapologetic af.
easy?

lowkey: this mofo is 24?!?!?!?
i thought he was like 18 a couple of years ago.

  1. Iconic…Really Jamari.
This dude has one album đź’ż under his belt and been in the public eye for a couple of years.
I don’t understand why people throw this word around so loosely.
    Madonna, Janet that’s iconic!

    1. ^ well it is pretty iconic.

      as gay black males,
we were told that we wouldn’t be accepted.
many in the industry are gay and have to be closeted to appeal to straights.
he did none of that and here we are.
      sounds pretty iconic to me.

    2. One studio album, yes, but he has become an iconic young Black gay man known the world over, and he is setting his own standards, so I think it’s fair to say he’s “iconic.” Jamari wasn’t being loosey goosey, he was telling the truth!

  2. I love it ! I hope him living out loud chips away at the backwards thinking and hateful wall that society erects .

BUT!!! he is Famous, Rich and “Rock N Rock” has always had a Gender Bending Acceptable space that lil Nas is priveledge to be a part of .

In real life. Black Trans Girls are being murdered at an alarming and sad rate. Gay sisters and brothers in Uganda are being persecuted .And attacks on Gay men in Jamacia still takes place.

    1. ^ im gonna ask a question without an malice but to play devil’s advocate…

why do we have to bring up all the bad things in the world to smother a good thing?
      yes,
bad things are happening but what does that have to do with his birthday?
people are getting shot up in mass shootings but many of us are living good lives thus far.
are these bad things have to humble us?
it reminds me of the “there are dying kids in africa and you are wasting food” line that i was told growing up.
my half a broccoli and scoop of mashed potatoes isn’t gonna save all the kids in africa LMAO
