we have been the maddy and the cassie at some point to a nate

nate.
cassie.
maddy.

like in real life,
we’ve seen a “nate” choose a “cassie” over a ‘maddy”.
it ain’t gonna last” is what we always say/font and then:

we hear about them getting married,
having kids,
and/or leveling up.

it leaves us confused but as this weird season of “euphoria” unfolds,
that’s the only dynamic that has me paying attention.
it made me think about something i’ve seen play out in real life

some people will tolerate certain behavior,
depending on how attracted they are to you.

because when you look at it:

nate treated maddy like shit.
he was controlling,
abusive,
and dangerous.

but with cassie?
she went full crazy,
betrayed maddy to get him and in this season,
he is moving different than season one or two nate.

softer.
more lenient.
i was convinced he was gonna slap her about going on onlyfans.

it’s almost like he’s willing to overlook things with cassie,
but i’m sure he wouldn’t tolerate any of that from maddy.
there were times that we have been “maddy”,
while watching our “cassie” get away with everything:

just because they were more “desired.”

…and if i’m being real?
we have been “cassie” plenty of times too.
we knew someone was into us and we felt comfortable to let our walls down,
even if that meant we looked absolutely nuts at times.
when we thought they would up and leave,
it made them even more hooked.

attraction has power.

…and sometimes,
it can distort what some people are willing to accept.

judging from what has developed in this storyline tho,
for some of us who ended up being maddy:

we learn really quickly that rejection actually was our protection.

lowkey: there is also the font of cassie being his trophy wife.
it’s like DL males who get with vixens while climbing the career ladder.
they use these vixens as props because “it looks good” to be married.
so they’ll pop out kids with these vixens because the nuclear family looks better.

so our gay asses stay in the shadows while he performs in the daylight,
so our version of being “maddy” looks different.

If you wouldn't say it on live TV with all your family and friends watching, without getting canceled or locked up, don't say it on here. Stay on topic, no SPAM, and keep it respectful. Thanks!
