you know what’s wild?
i was looking for a *cough* project *cough* the other night,
and randomly stumbled upon one of mr. cali’s older projects.
i said to myself:
“I haven’t seen him in a long time.
I wonder what he is up to?”
…but then,
something happened and i forgot to go research.
my foxy senses are CRAZY because a Foxholer sent me this update last night…
Robert Franklin aka Mr. Cali passed away on July 3rd.
according to soft obituary:
The creative world is mourning the unexpected loss of beloved content creator, recording artist, and entrepreneur Robert Franklin, widely known as Mr. Cali. Reports of his passing surfaced early Thursday morning, July 3, leaving fans, collaborators, and loved ones heartbroken.
No official cause of death has been released at this time. Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced in the coming days.
i’m in shock but i hope it wasn’t anything tragic or struggles with mental health.
i hope his transition was peaceful as well.
if it was mental health related,
we don’t know what others are carrying.
some shit is heavy and is weighing us down silently.
With the way the “big beautiful” forests are going,
there maybe more of that coming down the pipeline.
this is an interview from 3 years ago,
where he talks about putting out music while shooting projects:
may be rest in peace.

RIP to one of the OGs from the DawgpoundUSA and Papithugz era, and filmed with so many of the top performers from that time, like XL, Rio, Romance, etc. He was only 40 years old and always seemed to be a good soul. Sending his loved ones my condolences and healing wishes.
I met him when he was 18 years old living in Long Beach, CA during the days of Adam4Adam before his adult content career. We went on a date and went to Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles. I remember after the date, he showed me his “piece” and I about died. It was the biggest I’ve seen that time. Didn’t hook up with him cuz I knew I wasn’t able to take it.
Next time I saw him was at a sex party. By that time, I was already seasoned so I was able to take it from him. Rest in peace Robert, you were a kind soul!
Why do these performers keep passing away 🤔
🕊️🙏🏾🕊️
It’s really sad. I hired him twice, once during the peak of the shutdown and again in 2021. He was amazing: affectionate, polite, and always professional. He even followed me on social media. I had wanted to meet up again but never got around to it. I just hope he passed peacefully and without suffering.
You hired him for what? Pray tell.
