  1. Smh at the “agenda” crap. This is just getting pathetic now. Jamari, I especially agree with your last sentiments on the media portraying us as criminals etc. and “we” act like that’s normal. Maybe we should be focusing on that agenda, that is actually harmful to us as a people.
Ugh, whatever. People will never get it.

  2. I’m curious. When did you guys “know?” My dad went and saw Moonlight which shocked the shit outta me tbh but he said it got him thinking and he asked me the same question. (Mind you we hadn’t spoken a word about me being gay since he asked me the day I graduated from college 8 years ago and I told the truth)

I was 5 years old when I realized I thought other boys were cute and probably 13 before I knew what it was…

    1. Just like me!! I was attracted to boys when I was probably 5 too BUT I didn’t really feel “different” because at that age we aren’t taught about sexuality and all that stuff so you don’t really think about it like that. We just like to play and be silly as kids. The attraction just felt natural to me.

Then when I was 14 I remember going to a party with my boys and they were so excited about dancing with the girls while I didn’t give a damn about it. And then it kicked in and I realized that was my homosexuality! Lol ! The fact that I had always been attracted to males but never women. And at the teenage age it’s one of the most scariest things you can discover about yourself because you feel like your world is crashing down and it takes time for you to actually accept it. The worst part is many still can’t accept themselves!

S/O to my gay brothers worldwide. This is a struggle we will only ever know about. We are strong people

    2. It took me awhile to consciously accept that I was mostly attracted to males, around 12. I mean I knew that I liked boys more than usual before that, but I never really thought about it and I knew it’d make me different.

Side note, your pops went to go see Moonlight and watched it all? He gets some points for that 😂

      1. Same here. Around 10-12 I realized that I was attracted to males. There was this one particular dude I used to crush on HEAVY! That was when I realized what it was.

  3. Even before the movie was released and just the trailer had come out, the comments were overwhelmingly negative among some people. And unfortunately the majority of them came from our people.

  4. Fuck them bishes lol, their asses will be pushing the same rhetoric 20 years from now and still confused as to why gay people are still around. I almost feel sorry for the homophobes, they think they got it all figured out and they are the ones who are actually the confused ones. No sweetie being gay isn’t a choice, no sweetie you can’t “pray” the gay away, no sweetie gay people will be around forever, no sweetie there isn’t a correct way to “raise a child” to prevent homosexuality. I think once they get this then maybe they’ll find peace within themselves because they seem more bothered than the gays. Poor tink tink.

Anyways, Trevante looks gorg as usual!
