in the fashion world,
because he isn’t gay.
i know.
i don’t even have the energy to roll my eyes any harder.

Kanye West said he faced discrimination in the fashion industry because he is not gay.
The rapper made the comments during a nearly two -hour live interview with SHOWstudio on Tuesday for their “In Camera” series.
“I feel like I got discriminated in fashion for not being gay,” he said. “In music, you definitely get discriminated in music if you are gay. It takes amazing talents to break down barriers. Everyone thought that when Frank Ocean dropped that it was going to be bad for his career. I feel like it’s so cliché to speak about him as it relates to this subject, but there are people who broke the ground and he broke the ground. The people that break the stereotypes make history.”
West continued the conversation of trailblazers in reference to Caitlyn Jenner. Jenner previously credited West with opening Kim Kardashian’s mind about her transition. While speaking to SHOWstudio, the “Yeezus” star said he doesn’t care what the rest of the world might think.
“The first thing I thought about was a black radio show host maybe possibly making jokes because the black culture is generally homophobic,” he said. “Then it was like, ‘Fuck what people say. Fuck what people think.’ I feel proud to be in a family that has so many people breaking ground for generations to come. I’m still getting acquainted to what’s politically correct [to say].”

Here is a man who’s own mother was ONE of few professors at Chicago State University. She was an eloquent, educated woman yet joining a family with no moral compass, education and tangible talent is what makes him feel proud. He truly lost it when his mother died and joining this coven really just made it worse.

I really have nothing much to say about his other comments. He’s just so irrelevant, but that line was comical to me.
Everyone thinks he’s gay anyway so I’m sure he’s not being discriminated for being gay. He’s probably being discriminated for being a terrible designer? Or maybe for being walking propaganda? Marrying KK? Becoming a sellout with his music in which actually made meaningful music at one time (first two albums most notably) and is now a mere shock jock? Lots of reasons to discriminate you Ye, i’d focus on the reasons that are more plausible.

Please Kanye, just make music & keep dressing yourself well… Please? I respect him in a style sense, but these past two collections he put out have been pure shit. Basically muddy support hose in a variety of dull ass shades & matching hoodies to compliment the bullshit.
It’s not because you aren’t gay ‘Ye, it’s because there really isn’t any aesthetic to what you’re showcasing. I do believe he can do better though… His first collection, although dismissed by critics, was actually pretty damn good IMO. (Minus the shoes the models couldn’t walk in, lol.)
