Whatever the truth of this situation, I sincerely worry about Jussie’s mental health. If he was attacked, he is probably going to be traumatized for some time. If he set the whole thing up, he’s clearly crying out for help. Either way, I hope he receives the psychological help he needs.

You know I feel bad for Jussie in this situation because I believe at this point that he is telling the truth but has somehow got caught up in an out of control game of telephone. I’m not really understanding what was or is the lie exactly. What did Jussie say specifically vs. what was reported by news out lets vs. what has been leaked vs. social media speculation and how do you know “As a victim” what to respond to. Did Jussie say that he had broken ribs or was that reported by the news or was that leaked to news outlets like TMZ and if something that was reported is false who bears the responsibility to clear it up, if TMZ (for example) says that Jussie had broken ribs but Jussie never said that or reported it, does Jussie have to come out and clarify that; and if so where does it stop, does he have to come out and respond to everything? I also think all of this proves his position in not wanting to release his phone over to the authorities with all of this “alleged leaking” if he did have naked pictures or a who’s who in gay Hollywood it would be public information by now. I also have a huge question for the Chicago police , what’s up with all of this unofficial leaking, they should just lay out the case as it is but what’s crazy is I don’t think legally they have any obligation to clear anything up even if its wrong; mind you this is the same police department which covered up the Laquan McDonald shooting for a 1 ½ years before the truth finally came out.

I followed Jussie a little too and this is so out of character for him. Forget Empire, he could’ve found another role if he was being written off—his family has many connections to the industry. I see three scenarios:
*A mental health issue. Some of them are triggered in adulthood. Schizophrenia is one.
*Drugs.
*Bad advice, a setup, or a white lie gone bad. Jussie wasn’t the one that called the police.
Empire writers and Fox already put out a statement that he wasn’t being written off.Danny Strong the guy who co created the show said Jussie is the 3rd leading character on the show after Terrence and Taraji so he’s a core player.
The person who called 911 is Frank Gatson he is a legend(choreography) who has worked with Beyonce,with everybody.He is Jussie’s creative director for his tour.IMO there is no way Frank is going to jeopardize his career,reputation for a hoax.
