it’s dark, hell just got hotter, and many people are stupid

Can you believe it’s about to be a week tomorrow?

i’ve been riding a wave of emotions since last tuesday.
optimism,
anger,
denial,

and now,
i’ve finally landed on full-blown depression.
there’s one question that just keeps playing on a loop in my head…

Growing up,
Were we all lied to?

as kids,
many of us were told that if we make the right choices,
things will turn out in our favor.
more and more,
as the years went on,
it feels like life missed that memo.
tbh:

I’ve seen the worse of the worse get the best of the best.
I’ve seen the worse of the worse treat others like dog shit,
but they still got down on their knees and begged for more.

while i thought treating everyone like human beings meant something,
i’ve learned all of that is actually bullshit.
look at the results of this last election,
for example:

A jackal with a list of scandals,
and an actual conviction,
just got elected to be the 47th president of the United States.

Again.

…and it’s not like he’s kept all this shit a secret.
he’s shown us who he is time and time again,
but none of that seemed to matter to the voters.
the insurrection didn’t matter.
the lies didn’t matter.
the amount of folks who died under him during the rona?
not even a blip on the radar.

now,
after celebrating,
those same voters are having a wake-up call now.
suddenly,
they’re realizing tariffs actually hurt them…

OF and porn may get banned,
and many of their un-documented abuelas might face deportation.
there is also this confusion why family and friends have cut ties.
many spouses are ( x legit googling divorces ) in many states over this shit.
for those of us who’ve been watching these “what what?” moments unfold,
it’s like a slap in the face seeing how fuckin’ stupid many of these people are.
this election taught me one thing:

Being good isn’t good enough.

in this country,
it seems like the fast track to success might just be a lack of basic decency.
until something hits people’s wallets or their own sense of comfort

Bad isn’t really that bad at all.

  1. When these saltines start grabbing nuts and twisting that child support out these rusty nut men that voted for a felon that appears to continue to duck accountability and the law, then and only then will it matter. Once those welfare checks are gone and financial accountability is a REAL REALITY, then a little regret might seep through into their hearts of darkness. Snatching children from parents and putting them into concentration camps; family separations are cool if it means cheaper gas and groceries. They are okay with their daughters body’s being properly of the state, their elderly grandparents being denied healthcare and all the fuckery that Congress will come up with and the Senate will pass into law. The pale faced low income gremlins and self hating coal burnt citizens will pay any price for the illusion of superiority.
