“we don’t need frankie to have fun jay?”
anyway so jayceon taylor,
aka the game,
aka “daddy long dong dandy”…
has some lyrics that have rubbed people the wrong way.
i mean gays.
well i think.
he mentioned frank ocean in one of his latest songs titled,
“bigger than me”.
“Frank Ocean, go ahead and fuck these
When it comes to rappers, many believe their era of music is the best — it’s nothing new — but few dedicate a whole song to this belief like the Game just did.
On his new track ‘Bigger Than Me,’ the Compton spitter seemingly goes at all of current rappers that make up XXL’s Freshmen class cover and says they couldn’t compete with him on the mic.
“I came in with ‘Ye, Jeezy and boss ass n—-s / Your freshmen cover a whole bunch of soft ass n—-s / Tampon lyricists evacuate the premises,” he blasts.
Game also praises the MCs he came up with, letting the new batch of artists know they just don’t compare.
“These n—-s ain’t bigger than me / These n—-s ain’t Nas, ain’t Jigga to me / These n—-s ain’t Em, they ain’t 50 to me / You ain’t Pun, you ain’t Pac, you ain’t Biggie to me,” he spits in the hook.
He also tells younger rappers to put in more work before they compare themselves to him or any other veteran MC. “Less than five albums, kiss the ring on this motherf—er / California throne and I’m the King on this motherf—er / I don’t wanna hear it weak ass lyrics / Crying on the hook thinking we gon’ feel it,” he rhymes over an East Coast-style track, complete with a catchy voice sample.
Slated to be on his upcoming album, ‘Blood Money La Familia,’ arriving Sept. 16, the Game also chooses to name names on the song, even dissing a certain Odd Future member. It’ll be interesting to see if he gets any backlash from the gay community or if Odd Future responds.
personally i don’t think he was dissing gays.
i don’t even think he was dissing frank ocean per say.
this is not because i constantly imagine him naked and on top of me.
as an mc,
he took something from pop culture to used it in a diss.
i guess since i’m use to hip hop,
his line didn’t really bother me.
i think people are just looking for something to be mad at.
okay i know how to solve this!
lets ask frankie what he thinks when he gets out of hiding.
