THEY MADE ONE OF MY FAV CHARACTERS GAY IN MY FAV VIDEO GAME

i’m addicted to dead by daylight.
i’ve been playing that game for 5-ish years now.
dead by daylight is a horror “hide and seek” survival video game.
you and 3 other players have to fix 5 gens while avoiding a killer,
who could either be freddy krueger or michael myers.

so i don’t be paying attention at times.
i was wondering why when i was playing recently,
i saw gamer titles such as:

“David Bussy King”
“I TOP U TOP”
“FUCKDADDYDAVID”

…while playing david king,
who is pictured above.
the makers of dead by daylight decided to pull david out of the closet

some folks are already up in arms that they made david gay.
some homophobic killer mains tunnel david players out of the match too.
i wasn’t upset with them making him gay tbh.
for starters,

i love playing him shirtless when i do play as him:

secondly,
the dbd stans already paired david up with another character,
dwight:

lastly,
after reading david’s lore,

which you can read ( x here ),
he struck me as the type that would be on grindr on the low:

either way,
it’s really not that serious.
he looks exactly how most gay white males look and act today.
i’m glad he isn’t the stereotype others would have made him as.

David’s perks and playstyle are usually aggressive.

many gays who play dbd love the idea of him being gay too:

i’ll allow it.
dead by daylight is available on all gaming platforms and mobile devices.

  1. It’s 2022, they should’ve had a LGBTQIA+ character years ago. How long has the game been in existence? Every game should have at least one. I don’t game but it just makes sense since I know there are a lot of the community who do play.

If you wouldn't say it on live TV with all your family and friends watching, without getting canceled or locked up, don't say it on here. Stay on topic, no SPAM, and keep it respectful. Thanks!
