the hard launch that made me fall to my knees

“Yo,
you see this shit?”

i didn’t see any shit besides watching netflix and YOU.
God,
penn bagdley is so fine.

my white wolf friend directed me to the shit he was fonting about.
i became sick

It was a mutual friend of ours with a hard launch that they are MAGA.

at first,
i couldn’t believe what i was seeing.
in trying to justify out of shock and to calm the room from spinning,
i started making excuses:

“Maybe her husband is influencing her?”

we haven’t seen her in a hot minute.
it has been all about,
“her huzzband” since she got married.
she is the type that forgets her friends once she has consistent dick in her.
you know the types.
the bad part when i last spoke to her,
she was planning on leaving that jackal in wolf fur.
that is a whole rabbit hole but imagine my shock when she hard launched the marriage.
she is the type that has whole issues with the relationship but thinks a ring is the fix.
you know the types.

“Her idiot husband should have no influence on her decisions.”

i mean,
that is true but she is pretty sprung off that idiot.
i just couldn’t believe it.
honestly:

I don’t want to believe it.

i’m still trying to process how i feel.
am i annoyed?
kinda.
am i disappointed?
Oh God,
yes.

am i cutting her off?

I think so.

i mean,
we barely talk or font now.
her whole life has become about “the huzzband”.
so because of that,
we are just social associates atp.
she is someone i use to hang tough with but now,
we just show up for life updates and cute moments in highlight reels.
you know the types.

that shit legit ruined my friday night.
i looked at that base like i would something at the zoo.
it is behind the glass of my phone,
safely contained away from harming me.
alas:

Here we are and I hate everything.

  1. These types of situations I find both fascinating and baffling.

To quote Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation intro “We are a nation with no geographic boundaries, bound together through our beliefs. We are like-minded individuals, sharing a common vision, pushing toward a world rid of color lines.”

I highlight like-minded individuals and sharing a common vision. For me I rock with my friends heavy, we are like-minded not the same and we share a common vision not the exact same vision of how we would want the world to be. With my friends we talk pop-culture, politics, religion, goals and aspirations, health etc. So, for people to not know where people truly stand in trying times makes me wonder what types of conversations are people really having.

I can keep it cordial and professional, we can a debate or even have heated discussions where we lay out our points of view, but I don’t think at my age and in this climate, I could rock with some folks when it comes to some things. It’s one thing to disagree about the cooperate tax rate (you believe it should 5% and I believe it should be 25%), it’s one thing to want the streetlights to come on at 6pm and I want it to be 7pm; it’s another thing to view cruelty as power and a show of strength.

I have a Latino co-worker who is down with Maga and all the nonsense, I keep it cordial, I keep it professional, but I also keep it pushing.

If you wouldn't say it on live TV with all your family and friends watching, without getting canceled or locked up, don't say it on here. Stay on topic, no SPAM, and keep it respectful. Thanks!
