The Gays Started Ebola With All That, Ya Know, Gay Stuff

Ebola-Outbreak-Spreads-Bella-Naija8so the gays are now to blame for ebola.
yay!
we always get the good scandals,
don’t we?
well the gay community is under attack in liberia for staring it…

Leroy Ponpon doesn’t know whether to lock himself in his flat in Monrovia because of the deadly Ebola virus, or because he is gay. Christian churches’ recent linking of the two have made life hell for him and hundreds of other gays.

Ponpon, an LGBT campaigner in the Liberian capital, says gays have been harassed, physically attacked and a few have had their cars smashed by people blaming them for the hemorrhagic fever, after religious leaders in Liberia said Ebola was a punishment from God for homosexuality.

“Since church ministers declared Ebola was a plague sent by God to punish sodomy in Liberia, the violence toward gays has escalated. They’re even asking for the death penalty. We’re living in fear,” Ponpon told the Thomson Reuters Foundation by telephone from Monrovia.

Ebola has infected almost 10,000 people in West Africa since March, killing around half its victims. Liberia is the worst hit country where poverty, corruption and civil war have left a weak health system unable to cope with the exponential spread of the disease.

Some religious leaders have their own interpretation of the causes of Ebola.

eyebrow-raise-gifwell how about that?
you sure ebola isn’t terrorizing the straights for being s reckless?
i mean…..
we can’t be the blame for:

aids
hangovers
roaches
clogged drains
the color pink
 turning out d/l celebrities
silent but deadly farts

…and now we gotta add ebola to the list?
well that’s just ugh!

lowkey: it seems like revelations is coming true,
ain’t it?

    1. That’s a terrible but truthful thing to say. I just notice that the disease hit an all black area. Jamari I’m not liking this I really don’t like this. Every thing negative has our name and face on it. I’m surprised black people aren’t outraged about the blantant attack on the community. Remember AIDS it originated in Africa now African Americans have high rates. Poverty, wellfare, violence and disbandment is all related to us I think it’s a big conspiracy. I just don’t understand why others don’t see it as such. I feel bad for this next generation of black children they are gonna be led astray from their own identities told they are ugly and not worthy meanwhile they imitating them and trying to get a black man or woman it really is sad I just try to keep my sanity at times.

      1. Which is one of the reasons I don’t date out. I personally feel no one can complete me other than my people and no matter what I’ll find my everything. I rather stay when the going gets tough than be used in a effort to cause friction and acceptance in a community that fakes liking me and will not acknoledge me unless I got someone whom is not me on my arms. I notice this a lot too. Back on topic that Ebola stuff is making my head hurt it’s been around for years and people are trying to stick are faces to it.
